This is a bit of a follow on from a topic on the OFF FIELD notice board on the new Richmond Hummel Gear. I have seen the new jumper and polo in at the Tiger Den and I hate to say it, but it’s an all time low in both the quality and design (now that’s saying something considering some of the stuff Lotto and Concept Sports have put forward).
Now the question I'm asking is that do people really care. I admit I like to keep up to date with the latest Richmond gear, not because I'm a label boy, but I regard buying that short of stuff from the Tiger Den as supporting the club financially in my own way, but this year I point blankly refuse to be fleeced of any of my hard earn cash for such poor product.
Do you feel the club needs to lift its game regarding the merchandise, or will you buy the gear and support the club regardless?
My view is that buy getting in to bed with Concept Sports and now Hummel we are costing our selves big $$$. Walk into any AFL store or REBEL and you see the quality and selection of gear produced by NIKE, Reebok, Adidas etc and we just don’t compete.
It worth noting the team polo's this year are $17 more expensive than last season and take it from me they are no where near the quality.
