RICHMOND HALL OF FAME 2006

I am really suprised that either Roy Wright or Royce Hart havent been granted LEGEND status already.

Hart without a doubt one of the great centre half forwards of all time and Wright, Richmonds only duel Brownlow Medal winner.

Knights should definately be granted inductee status to the hall of frame.

For those who have mentioned Wayne Campbell, there's no doubt he'll be an inductee. But he only retired last season. The player must have been retired for minimum 3 years.

And there's another two players who should have been picked way back.

I have nothing against the service given to RFC by Knights, Stewart or Barrott but let's get the sequence correct, huh?  After all, the RFC has been around longer than the last 40 years!

Is there some sort of secret handshake to getting nominated?

How come a Brownlow Medallist is not honoured by the club?

How come a three-times captain of the team, who played in 18 finals, is overlooked?

Is Alan Geddes the photographer who puts babies in buckets and things?   ;D

For the life of me I cannot see how this is funny.

Hanno are you a Richmond supporter, ignorant or just trying to win a laugh?

Alan Geddes, 1925 - 35, 183 games, 14 goals, Richmond Football Club Captain, VFL representitive and the only man that Jack Dyer said scared the bejeezers out of him (they were team mates). This Tiger hero should be inducted ASAP and considered for Legend status sometime afterwards.

Yes the years roll on but true supporters of our club should be well aware of who and what has made our club great. I hope you were just making a play with a name Hanno, if not, buy TIGERLAND (the history of RFC) and read up on our history.

I didn't really mind Hanno's comment.   ;)

Anyhow, I dug an article out of my archives - it is Dyer's tribute to Geddes and is posted on Blast from the Past.
