Is that what the mid season draft (s) are now for - if Nank goes down for any period of time.

Still reckon we can cover rucks for awhile but acknowledge it is a risk being one down already
the mid season draft is a good potential option.

i think we need another back up, but maybe we can give CCJ and Chol (lots of fingers crossed there), and even Balta, the 1st half of the year to see if they could be relied upon on GF day if needed.

Good discussion. Given Soldo's form early/mid season I thought Nank might be the one to be traded. We do need cover next year - Nank number one, are CCJ/Chol enough? Maybe.
I truely believe that the club had concluded from mid 2019 that we needed a taller ruck option in the middle to give our onballers first use. We were being destroyed by quick transitions from centre clearances. Dusty in particular seemed to enjoy Soldo at least breaking even to give him an opportunity and,as we all know, that’s all Dusty needs.
It was obvious that they were playing Soldo in front of Nanks and that Nanks didn’t respond well to it. Nanks indeed looked shaky. Undersized and not particularly athletic as a marking forward option, many on here were questioning his future at the club.
With Soldo out, Nanks well and truely reminded all and sundry that he’s going nowhere. Was one of the best returns to form you could witness and amplified to legend status because he did it at the pointy end of the season. Spectacular achievement. And all without a contract!

Ruckmen are like gold bullion.

(Toby Nankervis is like diamond encrusted, platinum coated, plutonium enriched gold bullion)

If theres a snakey one there in round 2, grab him

Leppa on SEN today was asked what was the most important position on the ground? he said:

"I'll tell you what the LEAST important is and that's ruckmen"

He is now in hiding from the widowmaker :D

I wonder if he would've said that if he had to see Nank everyday next season:)

Hard no on another ruckman. Reduced interchange rotations next season means teams are likely to revert to playing only one specialist ruck to help maintain their run.

That'll suit Nank, he'll be up all day, just like easy's bull in Spring time.

We have four rucks on our list. If Nank goes down as well with a long term injury I reckon that is what the mid-year draft is for.

Well Leppas senior coaching record was significantly worse than the other notable ruckphobe, and possibly the most under-acheiving coach of the modern era, grant thomas.

So,

Ruckmen win premierships. Anyone bosscoach who thinks otherwise ..... generally keeps their premiership hymen un-strained

Apparently holding the man does not apply if the ump doesnt have a line of sight to the avocadoes,

And the image is clearly too grainy to be used in evidence,

But we get the picture.

Yep.

Nank, as we suspected, is packing a substantial factory down the strides.

and he dresses to the left

I never thought about it before and feel you spent too much time looking at this picture
