Or when ever we lose Richo/Gaspar/Kellaway, about '08.
I'll have a bash of our best spine in a few years. For mine, the following looks the most solid.
FB: McGuane
CHB: Schulz
CHF: Pattison
FF: Hughes
Full back - The spot im most unsure about. You dont need a superstar for the FB postion. Rutten was voted the leagues best player in that postion. He the most talented but works very hard and has great determination, is consistant and a good size. I hope can mature into AFL standard and make this postion his own. Thursfield would have to bulk up alot but is still very young. Moore I dont rate highly, if he was to make it at AFL level you'd expect it'd be as a as a 3rd tall or full back.
Center Half Back - (According to our friend Phantom) Wallace has again stated he sees *smile* as out long term CHB, in a Corns like mold, and I agree with him. For mine *smile* looked very promising in that role both pre and after his injury.
CHF - the most important postion on the ground, it was in the past and always will be. (again, according to Phantom) Wallace has earmarked Pattison for this postion. Personally I am doubtful if he will cut the mustard as a A-Grade CHF but am hoping like buggery.
FF - Between a Hughes and Limbach one hopes we'd have a a consistant, mobile FF who can always make himself a target both one on one and in the square.
The real question, between; Ray Hall, Will Thursfield,Troy Simmonds Jay Schulz, Trent Knobel, Dean Limbach, Kelvin Moore, Luke McGuane, Adam Pattison & Troy Simmonds are we going to have a core future KPP group which has the abitly/potential win us a flag.
Personally Im content with the list managment and where I see the club heading since Plough (one more cleanout is needed end of this season). However, I'd feel alot more comfetable if we had a Roughead or Kennedy. Not to be.
