Just saw Phantom on TV talking about the pettition to overthrow Casey.

First time I saw it.

I cant remember did we win this game?

From what I can remember we threw away a rather substantial lead to loss buy 2 kick. A certain Troy Simmons had a big day. Browny has been quoted as saying this game pretty much killed our season.

I also get really wet

Saw a replay of Rich v WCE 2005 @ mcg the other day for the first time. What a game. At the time I was more absorbed with the result to appreciate the standard of the game. Now that the dust has well and truly settled, the replay showed that with natural improvement we are not that far away.

No.
That was the game where Richmond implemented the DF game plan to perfection.
Kick it to Richo...and if that fails...then kick it to Richo.
How many times did we kick it to Richo in the last quarter? Many times...cause they were part of our KPI's...hmmmm.

Agree.

Its skill and decision making half the time that gets us in trouble.

I remember just before half time being very concerned at how our intensity had dropped right off and turning to my mates and telling them we were gonna lose. The body language at half time was terrible. That game tied a knot in my guts and I knew then and there our season was shot to pieces. That was one of the most gut wrenching game I've watched in recent times. To have totally dominated the first qtr and a half and to lose was the nail in the coffin.

I am still amazed at how we managed to lose that game. The pouring rain and the considerable lead at half time made me think we had it in the bag and I was busy gloating about the inevitable win. Gee did I get egg on my face when the boys went home at half time

The most galling thing about this particular game was the way we squandered the lead, i left that day they turned to my mate and said "this was the day Spud lost the players once and for all" As I said Browny pretty much confirmed that in an interview I read in the HS about 12 months ago.

Totally agree.........had the same feeling, thought things were about to turn the corner that day, then it ended on a very dark note.

Too true Balmy, for those few deluded left people back then that thought Spud was a good coach, me thinks the penny finally dropped for them after the game.
