Richmond v Geelong vfl game July 6

I’m a no to Kosi coming in. Gives us nothing once he steps up to AFL. Tried and tested many times and has comprehensively failed. He has been dropped many times for a reason and at his age will not perform any better than he previously has.
I admire him for his effort and persistence. He's been a game saver down back often, but it's his lack of pace that gets found out at the top level.

El Nour played well but always does something that cements him as a VFL player only. Whether it be a bad kick, dropped easy mark or timid contest.
All AFL players make mistakes too; it's such a fast, high pressure game with fierce opposition.

They just announced on Kayo: Bauer ACL. Another one. It's a curse 😔

Great day out today. What a win. The umpires were a disgrace. This side plays with heart and hunger. Enjoy watching them.

Other VFL regular watchers, what are your thoughts on Harry Scott. I'm probably in the maybe camp as to whether he could play AFL, he's certainly on a steep upward trajectory which is great and I think he's worked really hard on his fitness, can his fitness take another jump forward in a professional environment. He's intriguing, a really good size, physical, kicks nicely.
@caesar and I discuss Harry a fair bit. His speed ( lack thereof) may be an issue but his sidestep and ball skills are there. His endurance is improving. I would give him a shot, with a proviso. We need others with speed but then he could be a valuable link man.

Agree, but the issue is that he's exactly what we don't need on our list with Taranto, Hopper, Prestia and Ross already the same type (Slow). Maybe he would be successful on another AFL list but he's not we we need.

Smith seems low on confidence at the moment - looks like he’s second guessing every disposal. Maybe needs to stop overthinking it and play on instinct a bit more? I don’t know.
I think Smith's issue is that he has no natural instincts.

He has no idea what to do with the ball once he has it.

The pity is that he's exactly the type we are crying out for - fast, courageous and good in the air, but he is so football dumb that he's a liability with the ball.

Delist for mine.

The hype is real - Taj ain't no mirage.... :banana
Best talent I've seen in our seconds since a young Trent Cotch ran around when coming back from injury in 2008.

Much like what happened with Trent, I don't think we'll ever see Taj play in the seconds again.

Is it his first year in the VFL system?

Fabulous fight back and a great win.
Umpires were atrocious , the bias was astonishing.

Once again i was impressed by Mutaz El Nour.Whats the chance he coyod play seniors afl ?

Taj is all class ,cant wait to see him in the seniors
Shorty was great
Steely green played a ripper as mid / foward flanker.

I think you missed El Nour. Outstanding game. Repelled so many attacks with fine intercept, often contested marks. Also very attacking kicking. Had me heart in mouth often but he hit them up and moved the ball on quickly when the game was in the balance.
He and Young top games down back along with Trezise.
Whats the chance of El Nour getting picked up for our afl.seniors ?

Wouldn't mind rooking McDonald.
Something about him.

The Geelong bloke who took a mark in the square and then played on from a metre out and kicked it into the goal post will be feeling a bit sick.

I mean there are no replays, but an all time howler.
Young kid for VM yesterday final 30secs ran into goal in the Goal square kicked a point.lol
