Red Cliffs is near Mildura. Where all those teenagers got run over last year.

Redcliffe's ground is a potato patch next to a mosquito-infested swamp. :wavey

Its the same place they played Essendon last year, great surface an a good venue to watch footy, was a bit like been at the footy when they did the Jack Dyer tribute, very emotional :'(

How you feelin GPB :pullhair :beer

It's a shame that there isn't another place like Mildura that is a breeding ground for Richmond supporters closer to Melbourne.

I say this because it would be good to have higher attendences at home games which causes more revenue for the club and a better atmoshere.

Isn't Redcliffs / Mildura the old Richmond 'zone'/catchment area ? (or am I just imaging there was ever such a thing?)

Nope, you're spot on TT. Mildura, Swan Hill, Merbein, Robinvale etc was our old zone and a poor one at that (noteable exeptions in Lee, Flea and Raines). Carlton (Bendigo) and Hawthorn (Mornington Peninsula) were the massive beneficiaries of the old zoning system. St. Kilda (Ballarat) should have been but that's another story.
