Richmond V Sydney/bring your poncho's (merged)

Anyone know if there will be a curtain raiser?

Only got General admin tickets so if we can get there early and be entertained it would be handy...

yeah i talked to a mate who lives in sydney and is a big swans supporter. he says he's droping his mum at the SCG befoe we meet u for a beer because she like to watch all the swans games. so i guess that answers your question. wish we had that in melb... according to my ticket, the gates open at 3:45pm

Will be leaving Lithgow at around 11 about a two and a half hour drive with the stop off in Penrith for lunch. Am ticked off though bought my daughter a Richmond long sleeve jumper and my son a scarf from the club website last week and it hasn't showed and the mail's been am so pi$$ed.

i'm in the internet at the airport. my 11:30am flight to sydney was cancelled due to frost. we're now leaving on thre 2:30 flight. my girlfriend and i bumped into tw at the check in. told him about cancellations, yadda, yadda. then we saw the whole team sitting in the food court inside the terminal waiting for their flights. deledio was there for all the people worried about his fitness. the boys boarded a plane at about 12:30pm. they must have put aside seats especially for the RFC. bugger! i was hoping we'd be on the same flight...

one thing thought... i did see david roden hanging around krad and tambo. is this a precaution??

Thanks both for the info, just found on the Sydney site:

The Swans Reserves next match is against Tuggeranong at the SCG on Saturday July 22 at 3.50pm as the curtain raiser to the Swans v Richmond game.

... The AFL really need to bring back this for us!

Heavy showers this morning in Sydney but been pleasant this afternoon, will see what tomorrow brings.

The townsfolk are all talking up the Tigers chances against the Swans so we may be a chance.

Will be attending the post match function so hopefully will get to see a few people that are sitting around Bay 16 & 17.

well well well....my mail might be spot on...if raining midday tmrw - rodant for patto...

no rain, cold though.

The richmond barrackers behind me were disgusting. i am glad i didn't take my 4 yeear old son. However I did take my 6 year old nephew and we were all quite upset by the c words and f words coming from these Richmond supporters behind us.

Not to mention the racism towards Goodes and O'Loughlin.

I was very oproud of the nephew when he turned around and yelled at this idiot to 'stop using such bad language.' If i had said anything they would have got worse but the kid shut this guy up, he moved. Some other creep took his place and used the same words. Working class ::)

As for the racism, these guys were of middle eastern appearance, and anyway - we have players in our team like Krak'r, tambo and rodan. Doesn't make any sense.
