This weekend my 19yo son and I will board planes at Sydney and Canberra respectively and fly to Tullamarine Airport. We will then take a chauffer driven car to our Prahan accommodation - drop our luggage and head to Lygon Street for a meal with my 26yo son and his delightful lady.

The young ones will probably go out and party after that - I'll slip back to Prahan to watch a bit of footy on the TV. A good sleep then shopping on Sunday morning and then.......

THE MCG ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON

My 19yo will yell for the Swans and I will roar for the Tigers

We will be seated in the Great Southern Stand around the M9 M8 area - I will be wearing my PuntRoadEnd wind cheater - so if you see me come up and introduce yourself.

Please Tigers win this one - for I want bragging rights until the Tigers meet the Swans again in 2010.

See you at the G.............RT

Sounds like a great plan RT. :D

Both teams should be up for their champions and I hope to be there to witness Micky O (300) and Cuz (250) Milestones.

Is it correct that Micky O is the first swan to ever get to 300 games?

The Punt Road End is the best place to be at, and if you can get near the grog squad at any stage it is the place to be. Atmosphere is usually electric and it is the only place my mother likes to sit near at our games.

Sounds like you should disown your 19 year old

Nah - he lives in Sydney with my ex and was invited to play in the Swans underage team - he knocked it back due to transport to training on the other side of Sydney from where he lives. Plus he wants to travel - see the world and then come home to study and play footy.

How do you tell a strong willed 19yo - who when he sets himself on a course will simply not budge off that course - that he is giving up a great opportunity?

The "Y" generation they are a mystery to me..........

Aint that the truth?

I've got three of them at home.

They think everything is about them, even when it is about me, believe they have a bottomless pit of money, despite all evidence being to the contrary and burst into tears every time the Internet connection drops out.

Apart from those three things, they are a complete mystery to me too.

Enjoy your day, Artie.

We haven't lost a game for nearly a month and winning form is good form so I reckon you will have a win to celeberate, although it sounds like you will have a great trip irrespective of what happens in the match! Enjoy

Hope you have a great weekend RT
ps if the swans get up, inform your 19yo he was adopted, that should quieten him down and diminish his glee for a while ;D (perhaps/maybe)

Just got home

Great weekend -

Except for the Footy

You guys that live in Melbourne sure have a beautiful city - and the MCG is the greatest arena in Australia by a country mile.
