Richmond v Sydney - Tell me why...

Is this being played at TD?
RFC have the benefit of having a home ground advantage against Sydney at a larger ground than the Swans are used to, and the AFL take that away.
They've done it to Melbourne in the last two years, and I'm fed up.

This has been discussed a number of times. We play a number of our home games against interstate sides at the Telstra Dome because it is not financially viable to do so at the MCG. I guess if Richmond becomes more consistent in the years ahead then supporters will come out of the woodwork, and there will be the option to rethink.

Cheers

Need 30k supporters to break even at the MCG. Would probably get 32-35, so you're probably not going to be making a huge profit from the game.

Tdome is fixed price, so we probably get more out of it based on anticipated crowd.

Why give up the MCG against the team that plays on a SMALL GROUND similar to the Telstra Dome, which they can shut down.
I hate it.

Most of us here hate it to interested but it's the club's decision not the AFL's. Unfortunately we need the $$ and are subsidised to play home games at the Dump.

I would rather sell that game to them at SCg as we alway's play well their and have one on a few occasions.
We would also make a tidy profit as they fill the ground.

I suppose another of my beefs is that I despise the Dome. I hate everything about it.
Hopefully RFC can negotiate a better deal with the MCC - The Victorian clubs need to take all the advantages they can.

yeah i hate the dome, its not football - dare i say it, bombers may have beat us there tonight i think
