Shouldn't post when on the grog or typing in blind fury. It doesn't make senseflogger said:Sorry but not truye. you actual wordds were that my psots awere "all about Jakey", when in actual fact some of them were about other topics as well, so that makes what you said untrue.
you didn't actually say that everyone of my posts mentions Jake "in some way"( as you suggest above!) but rather that all my posts were "all about Jakey.
You have since added the clarificationthat I mentioned Jake in "some way". Sorry, that is different to saying they are all about Jakey
Thomson stood out and played 3 qtrs, kicked two goals fom difficult angles in the first. Looks super fit and hungry, should start in the best 22.French Tiger said:Does anyone know how Thompson & Farmer played ?

Farmer played after 3qtr time and did what he had to against inferior opposition. Swept the ball well out of defence and dd what he needed to do.
Farmer may allow Newman to play up the ground a little later in the year.
Thomson is very well built and kicking looked fine without being elite.

lamb22 said:I endorse what pmac said. Thommo looked very fit and injury free and it showed - played well.
Took us while to figure out who no 15 was - dont know why - its Farmer's number. He played pretty well for the quarter I saw him.
Both aer serious considerations for a start which is good for our depth.

White Lightning said:What do you base that on in regards to Farmer being a strong consideration? The reason I ask is, the guy couldn't get a kick nor did he play his role right in the last 2 scratch matches prior to the Intra club match, nor has he be setting the training track alight. Plus I would hae thought if he was a consideration , he would at least had played in the first half
AstuteTiger said:i saw the game on friday nd farmer was terrific when he came on, hard at it, aggressive, ran the ball out well and used it well also...
In regards to ur point if he was a consideration , he would at least had played in the first half Collins came on in the 2nd half...i wouldnt be reading to much into that WL

lamb22 said:IMO his form in the trial makes him a serious consideration for a starting berth. Not saying Hardwick has him pencilled in.
I'd say Edwards, Tambling, Newman and Connors are in front of him in the coach's eyes. Dont know how he has trained previously but played well Friday! As I said above good for depth - nice problem to have lots of players in decent nick!
White Lightning said:IMO i don't consider Farmer as depth player. He doesn't hae the composure to play that role in our backline. This is a major focus in DH's game plan for the backline.

So DM trades for him and he is not going to play himWhite Lightning said:IMO i don't consider Farmer as depth player. He doesn't hae the composure to play that role in our backline. This is a major focus in DH's game plan for the backline.
