Simmo didnt play.
King was the usual King
McMahon came on late and basically played with the young kids against Coburg Reserves, stood out above a subpar opposition.
Thanks.
So king hopeless and MCmahon playing at coburg..all sounds promising

Did anyone there notice any improvement in terms of plan, decision making, skills?

But I guess reading some comments some guys have not improved or developed......hmmmm boundary umpring.....did he have the ball taken off him for short throw ins?

how was tamblings game?

did anyone see richo there?

Tambling was ok, didnt get much of a chance to shine due to the ball not going down back alot (partly due to strong wind, partly due to playing Coburg).

Didnt see the Cho.

Will also add that Thommo really impressed me again and he will certainly be our new battering ram replacing Tuck. Tackles hard, links up well and gets the hard ball, liked his game.

Cotch, Lids and Thommo were the midfield standouts IMO.
Connors was the most effective of the running backs IMO.

Most players were vocal and positioned themselves properly even though they went around the boundary most times.
It's hard to assess their skills considering it's only an intra-club match and a first one for 2010, but there's definitely more work to do.

Just got back.
Agree with what Ripplestick said.
Martin yep got caught 5-6 times and needs to improve in that area.
Polo was a huge surprise

Of the new kids apart from Martin,Dea looked impressive when he came on in the 4th.Knows where to run to etc.
Astbury took a nice mark and goal in the 3rd while Gilligan seems to have found an extra yard and dare i say it.Looks Cherry Ripe ;D

Great ground BtW.

Jackson and McGuane didn,t play Baloo

Brilliant. So first hit out and neither of these boys recorded any clangers. Great start to the year.

Really hope Dean thrives under Hardwick. Pretty obvious that there was no love lost between he and our former coach.
Agreed ToO.He actually looked like a new recruit out there.

Looks like Dimma wants to take advantage of Polo's ball winning abilities by using him near the goals.

TT was a bit quiet and didn't get into the game much.

did the kid from port play, i forget his name?
Farmer came on in the 4th.I left halfway through the 4th so i.ll leave it to others to comment.

It hard to get too excited by a game against the seconds, but the fact the chimp played is a massive plus. I think that's one of the first times he's been fit enough in preseason to play in a practice game
