I originally intended not to go because it's the twilight game which I hate going down for.
Turns out it's Mum's birthday and we're having an afternoon tea celebration at my brother's place in Melbourne.
Seeing we'll be down in Melbourne anyway we booked our seats 2 weeks ago. Could only get top deck.

I'll be ther et oo and cant wait. Flying over tomorrow morning. Does anyone know when they train on Friday? I will be a short walk from Punt Road Oval and would be interested in taking a look.

Any Tiger who has black & yellow running through their veins wouldn't miss it for quids.

The atmosphere would be like the game against them back on the MCG in 1982. If I recall that day we won, Rioli & Raines blitz, in front of 90, 564 people who watched the Tigers thump the bummers by 62 points.

Who could ever forget that game.

I brought 2 pommy mates to that game-my best mate at school ,only in Aus for 2 years and I got him into the Tiges(I think he lives on the Vic -sa border now lol)and another pom fresh from Birmingham-bit of a snob(always whinging about how bad Australia was and the hot weather and naturally went for the Bummers.

That last quarter was a pearler.

Kicked Essendons sorry arses.

Hope it's a combination of that game and the 95 one(hmm I might have a heart attack if it's like 95 lol.

May the best sash win-Yellow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2 1995 games are my favorite ever games of footy that I've been to in person. The atmosphere after the draw was eerie I've never felt anything like it. The atmosphere after the win in the finals was magnificent.

Training Saturday morning this week, 10am. I'll be asleep then.

I'll be there in spirit while I barrack for our local boys in their footy final. Here's hoping we cause the Bummer supporters a few tears like I shed the night they rained on Knighter's farewell.

Well done Sheeds and JimBob on your long and successful careers. Eat 'em Alive Tiges.

I'll be there for sure but booking a seat in advance is almost against my religion. I much prefer to rock up early and choose my seat from what's left.
Has anyone heard a figure re how many tickets they have sold already? Or how many are likely to be sold at the gate?
i doubt there will be any left to buy at the gate.
i bought a ticket last night and there was only a tiny section at the top and back of the olympic stand left.
it`s going to be a monster crowd of 90,000+.
you better get one asap or risk missing out on a game that will be remembered for many years regardless of the result.

essendon have had it over us for almost all of sheedy`s time so it will be magic to spoil their party.
i can`t wait.

I got a ticket this morning & they said it was nearly all seats were Sold Out. I only need a ticket to get into the ground as i'm not going to sit up in the nosebleeds ,i'll stand at M2 in the Grog Squad. The Action Attraction. :hihi :hihi

I heard on sen that 65000 seats have been sold so far.

I scored free seats a few rows from the boundry line, forward pocket in olympic stand. ;D

has decided not to go

will be meeting with fellow tiges fans at the dava, thank god channel10 isnt doing the commentary

Well , just confirmed I'll be going...............

My Mate came through with Tickets in the Members (Somewhere ???)

First Game in 10 YEARS , so as you can imagine , I'm a little excited. (Can you say "Slight Understatement" )

Would love to hook up with some of you guy's but as I will be travelling with him , have no idea what time we'll be heading out to the Game.

Might just ask every Tige Supporter I see if they are a member of PRE , surely have to bump into one of you.

Anyway , let's hope the Boy's can pull off a memorable WIN for my return.

Go you GOOD things ......................can't wait.

Are you in Australia anyway jack, or just coming over for the game? Look out for PRE windheaters and t-shirts. Glimpsed a PRE sticker on someone's bag in the ladies toilets (northern stand) a couple of weeks ago but was too shy to find out who it was connected to. I'm sure everyone wearing PRE stuff would be happy for others to come up and introduce themselves.

Have a great game. First in 10 years must be such an exciting thought. I'd be counting the sleeps for that one.

I have a gut feeling it could be a draw.

I hope we beat them by 1 point & pay them back for Mathew Knight's farewell !
