Is it only me or have Richmond once again missed the boat??
We had a chance to appoint a senior coach with a win rate of 68%, why did we not do what Collingwood did a few weeks later and appoint Sheedy for 5 years, 2 as coach and 3 as mentor/ director coaching? We could have added a young forward thinking coach without experience and judged say two assistants over the time to take over in 2 years time. Fact is yesterday we demonstrated we are back to 1988 level skills and player quality.
This draft is the last where it will not be fully compromised for a long time, we need to make some strong list changes.
We need to keep some experience as back up but get as many new blood as is possible

Retirements

Johnson, Bowden & Simmonds

Delists or trade ( good luck!)

McMahon ( why we traded and did not pick Callan Ward with this pick I will never know), Pettifer, *smile*, King, Hughes, JON, Pattison, Thomson & Tuck

This gives us 12 changes, promoting Nahas only. Browne is an option but I would clean out the rest of the rookies
This gives us at least 10 choices at the PSD and Draft, pay out the contracts if necessary.
I kept Brown for one more year if he is fit enough and also give Coughlan same.

The best thing the club did all year was realizing Sheeds is past his use by date as a coach
