I voted for 10 at the MCG and 1 in Tassie.Of course, we would want to have admission to an away game in Melbourne as well such as St Kilda does now.. Having a game in Tassie could be used as a bargaining tool for more games at the MCG, and could be at the expense of one of the other interstate games. We would still get a number of games at the MCG as the away team.
Im with the Matron on this.
Some say its like Melb playing their home game up in Bris.Wrong its totally different. The Opposition wont be on their "home turf".
If it means we get and extra game or 2 at our Home Ground at the G and 300G from a game in Tassie and like Jools said "free Admission" to an away game in melb as part of compensation for the Tassie game then im all for it.
Do it for say 2yrs and then consider our options after that ;)

No doubt our supporters are spread far and wide - that's great. But they can't possibly have the passion of Melbourne people who've grown up watching the Tigers from the stands and terraces.
i take issue if you think you have more passion just because your based in melb your a bloody ning nong. perhaps all us interstate members should just not be members next yr the club would be lucky to have 20,000 without us. dont talk to me about passion this @#$ing footy club has got me into more strife than anything else in this world. its in my soul and in my blood the affiliation goes all the way back to the 1920s nearly every member in my family going back to the 20s has been a tiger this includes cousins aunts uncles brothers sisters. so be very careful when you talk about passion my friend.
Fire and brimstone  :clap. Now that is what I call the real Tiger's spirit Claw. Once it is in your blood it never goes away, regardless of where you reside.

My uncle played for the Tigers and they were naturally the team I followed as a kid. In 1969 I was watching my first grand final on TV in Canberra. A single incident in that game resulted in me finding the Richmond "religion" for life. The game was in the balance in about the 3rd quarter when a superstar named Billy Barrot took an absolute screamer some 60 metres out. The Carlton supporters started booing him, so what did he do? He gave them the reverse victory salute( the "bird"), pulled his socks up and blasted it straight between the posts. Carlton dropped their heads and the grand final was all over right then. That epitomised everything about Richmond for me...... brilliance, arrogance, confidence, composure under pressure, and a bit of mongrel thrown in for good measure.

Ever since then I follow the Tigers regardless of where I am in the world. I've only seen one GF live and fortunately that was in 1980. My son was born in 1981 and is yet to see Richmond at its best but he is as passionate as it gets. His first jersey as a kid had 29 on the back, and Richo is his idol these days.

RFC footy club spirit...... with apologies to Rod Stewart

You're in my heart, you're in my soul
You'll be my breath should I grow old
You are my passion, you're my best friend
You're in my soul

My love for you is immeasurable
My respect for you immense
You're ageless, timeless, lace and fineness
You're beauty and elegance

You're a rhapsody, a comedy
You're a symphony and a play
You're every love song ever written
But honey what do you see in me

You're an essay in glamour
Please pardon the grammar
but you're every schoolboy's dream
So stuff Celtic, United, baby I've decided
You're the best team I've ever seen

And there have been many affairs
Many times I've thought to leave
But I bite my lip and turn around
'cause you're the warmest thing I've ever found

10 games at the"G" and 1 game each year at Manuka Oval -

No this is not for us Tiger Members who reside in the nation's capital

It is so Rosy can visit her son whilst up here to cheer on the Tigers -

Oh alright - I also might turn up to watch 'em at Manuka too :whistle

From what we heard tonight.

March has now been quoted as saying "It was all speculation, it's not going to happen"

;D

Richmond are staying in Melbourne. All the vultures >:( who want to steal our home games will have to go somewhere else. >:(

My suggestion is Hawthorn ...

Can hear your blood boiling from here claw, so I'll qualify the statement by saying that the vast majority of passionate Richmond supporters are based in Melbourne. I'm referring to interstate supporters such as some WCE's  I've met - born in Melbourne, live in Melbourne, jumped on the WCE bandwagon in the early 90s but rarely attend unless the Eagles are a premiership chance. They don't even bite if baited when the Eagles are down.

Not suggesting for a minute that you can't take your passion with you. I'm sure you'd love to see Richmond play wherever you are, but I question the merit of giving away a home-ground advantage to please a relatively small number (however passionate) of people.
your qualification is noted and i understand what you are trying to say i also agree about giving away home ground advantage.
let me say all taswegians support a VICTORIAN team or the vast majority do.when it comes to footy we are just another suburb of melb in this regard.

after seeing the results of the poll  so far, the only thing i will say is that you lot should be ashamed of yourselves  :'(  :'(  :'(
