On Howat the theory proposed by a better judge than me that Howat makes some sense in the last rookie list spot because he sets a great example at training. It shows hard work will be rewarded. We will get three other picks in the RD so we're probably already going to be scraping the very bottom of the barrel even if we take Howat.

I'm okay with Howat as long as we go young with PSD.

Because training is similated, whereas a game can hurt you

Pro-stats lists him as having had 309 career disposals, 307 of them uncontested. Every team needs receivers, Richmond just has a disproportionately large amount of them.

morton, cotchin, edwards etc are all already much better than howat and are younger aswell

so what if he sets a good example at training, that job should be up to guys like johnson and cogs to lead the way on the track not soft outside receivers like the boundary rider
