Richo and Scarlett Yesterday. Are they best mates ?

Poor old Donut. I dunno why you guys are so harsh on him.

Watching on TV, I never noticed the Donut anywhere near Cambo or other Tigers to show some respect.

I'll take the assumption he SMS'd Cambo "Hi Wayne, good luck in the future, hope to meet your wife one day and don't forget that $50 you owe me still"

Had a giggle to myself...was sitting in a Geelong members box feeling rather infuriated at mad-man Mooneys antics.  Everytime he stood a mark I was yelling at players to "kick it in to his head".
May be Richo could use this tactic...put the fear of god he may destroy them taking a mark or just as likely harm them taking the kick....
Please, Richo doesn't need any encouragement to kick it into the man on the mark!

Richo got spanked by Scarlett.

I would of prefered to see Richo go out to CHF seeing that Scarlett had the better of him.

Scarlett would have just followed him, what difference would it have made??

TE,s point is valid Struggs.A few weeks ago Scarlet was forced up the feild against Melb and he did look uncomfortable.Although i doubt it would have much of a difference yesterday.
In fact Geelong exploited Pettifer,s lack of defensive skill yesterday.

I thought that we may of been better off changing our forward line structure becasue most times we came inside 50 we were looking for Richo as usual.
Maybe put Sarge at FF or maybe go with a small FF, something different!

from where I was sitting I saw a good contest. Who cares if Richo was yakking! Scarlett was as well.

get over it.

perhaps you guys were up the wrong end. I saw 17 goals at the end I was at.

Richo WAS playing CHF alot of the time. Moore was the full forward albeit granted, he was acting as a bit of a decoy. But Richo still spent a heap of time at CHF and even further up the field and onto the wing area.

As for being too Richo conscious, that is still a problem for us. That kick from Tambling when he came streaming through the centre towards the Northern end and could have elected to continue to carry the ball and kick the goal himself or passed to a direct leading Pettifer I think it was -  but instead kicked sideways to Richo who had lead into the pocket with Scarlett all over him and another Geelong player in front of him -  was classic one dimensional movement into our forward line revolving around Richo.

I won't say any more.

Ordinarily, Richo is one of the most intense and full on players we have at Richmond. But yesterday was a complete aberration for him.

Bubbletown and I were sitting right behind the goals at the Northern end yesterday, so for half of the game we were pretty close to our forward play. Bubbletown (and anyone else who went down to Geelong and was at that end of the ground yesterday and saw this) might back me up here when I say that Richo spent a heap of game time talking, joking and laughing around with Scarlett. You would have thought the two of them were best mates.

I was spewing. In Campbell’s last game, and against a side that has embarrassed us numerous times the last few years (including the first game of the year), I would have thought that one of our leaders like Richo would have been fully switched on. But he wasn’t. When the play was up the other end of the ground, he was walking around the forward line talking and laughing with Scarlett. This was no humorous sledging, but friendly chat. You could tell.

Again, you can’t question Richo’s application most of the time when he plays for us. But yesterday, it was like he was playing in a practice game. I’m sure if any of the coaching staff had of noticed it they would have got stuck into Richo. It probably speaks volumes about the general culture of Richmond and the lack of us v them aggression within the club.

Not good enough yesterday Richo. Not good enough.

Congratulations Redders for this post being the puntroadend.com contribution in Inside Football this week.

I will buy everyone on PRE a beer with the proceeds I get from the ‘breach of copyright’ action that I am taking against those cheating chumps Rosebuds !

My solicitor (Lionel P. Hutz) says that I am an excellent chance to win, so here’s hoping.
