Richo- back spasms

Relax stms. I'm not sure i'd even describe this as an injury yet. Seems to be much more of a niggle by reports. Don't be concerned. It's only January.

It's January, there's virtually no football news, they have to report on something, wouldn't have even been reported on during the season. Let's face it it was better than another feel good article about Essendon.

It is pre-season. The players train hard and are they pushed to their physical limit. You will find that there are several players at every club who are starting to breakdown with over-use injuries and strains.

It is a message to the training staff to ease off Richo for a week or two.

Finally a sensible post amongst a load of dribble. Well done TOT!

It's all a plot to distract from Lloyd's hamstring tightness.

In all honesty, although in the short term losing Richo would be detrimental to our cause, in the long run it means very little. I want the big fella to have success and seriously hope he wins a premiership, but the reality is he is probably only going to be involved in the beginning of the Richmond renaissance. It is the young forwards who will be the backbone of the forward line in the dominant Richmond sides of the next decade. Richo getting injured is neither hear nor there when considering the teams long term development.

Absolutely on the money RROFO.
This season is the continuation of a transition period and the over reliance on Richo as our key forward, HAS TO start to winding back.

If you reckon Richo is in a bad wasy now, ther eseems to be worse to come (for everyone, ectually).

I just checked the Ticketnmaster site - www.ticketmaster7.com.au - to see when tockets for the whositz cup go on sale, and they have the Tigers playing every game of the season on Saturday 1 December 2007. Talk about a heavy workload! :duh

Isn't it funny how some people see the great training reports and state "its only the preseason, it means nothing....Then when there's a minor injury, "it's the preseason, this is evertything....

If the glass is half empty people, drink up so you can fill it again.

Agreed. Even if this is true it's no big deal. Apart from the pathologically deluded who think we are a chance to win a premiership this year, this season is all about development. Richardson won't be around when we truly have a tilt at the flag, and his relevence will steadily decrease as his body gives out and he misses more matches and game time. The big worry is that we have given more than a one year contract.
