Richo Dilemma?

What's the best way Terry should use Richo for the development of the forward line?

Maybe after next year he can play solely out of the square like Alistar Lynch till 35. His fitness is surperb & if his body holds up he should contniue to play.

I would only offer Richo yearly contracts after next year & based on performances.

Considering we're developing Richo at 32 can I suggest we turn him into on on-field psychopath in his twighlight years. Played 250 games at his size and never been suspended for rough play, striking nor ripping the head of a Collingwood backman. A blight on his name and game.

A 100kg monster of fighting footballing fury would be just the fillip for the start of season.

CHF and leading up the ground to provide a target for the kicks from defense. Takes the mark and helps us go forward. Then long kicks or handpasses to players running past. The players don't move enough to lead when coming out of defense at present.
Failing that at FF with Krak and Brown at his feet to crumb and goal.
Instructions must be for only one player to fly for mark. *smile* must provide a second lead at all times to spread doubt.

I agree with Liverpool and L2R2R. Keep Richo around the goal square. Train Cleve, *smile*, JR or whoever to make leads, but they must definitely keep out of Richo's way. Edwards and Brown are intelligent crumbers and maybe Pettifer could earn his position by being a more consistent option. The midfielders need to consider ALL options.

I shudder when I see Richo leading out to the flanks or up on the wing. He is neither confident nor competent when passing the ball and he looks like a fish out of water on the backline.

The coaching panel (especially TW) must address this problem, so that there is some system in the forward line....at the moment ball movement appears to be completely random.
