We haven't had another genuine classy goal kicking tall in our forward line for a decade which is absolute and utter rubbish.

I would just like to say, how often to genuine classy goal kicking talls come along? Most teams would kill for ONE yet you are complainging we don't have TWO.

...........by his shonky kicking for goal.

Seriously, he could have at least 800 goals up already if he had nailed just a fraction of the easy shots he has missed over the years, .

Ask yourself this question: if Richo had kicked an extra 100 goals over his career, how many more games would the club have won during that period, a time when they have made 9th position their own?

The midfield got the ball to him in good position, he had the shot and missed it.

Tot seriously mate, yes he has missed some bad ones but what about the ones he gets from the boundary lines when no expects him to get it, it all balances itself out in the long run.
You said if Richo kicked an extra 100 goals over his career how many more games would the club have one....
I wouldn't say many at all as this would equate to about 8 extra goals a year.....Its unfair to slap that equation on him, ive seen G.Ablett and Lockett kick a dozen goals in a match and still lose so its all hearsay, im just using that as an example as one player shouldn't be burdened with the responsibility of its teams win/loss ratio.

Gaspar, Krakouer ,Jackson, and Moore shouldve been flicked last year,

Im patient and dont care for scoreboard results as of now i want to see the kids play and develop.

Im with you General play the kids and shelve the dead wood till we can chop it at years end.

Daniel is 20...do you consider a player that age not to be a kid or are you being a hypocrite craigy?

You mentioned 4 players who should have been flicked last year. Is that on top of those we did flick or would you have kept some of those? Can't imagine a dozen or more delistings in a year. The players you mentioned weren't all uncontracted. Would you have paid out their contracts to get rid of them?

How easy it is to manage a football list from a computer on an anonymous forum. :blah

Exactly right

Eight goals would just about have been enough to get us into the finals in some of those seasons where we just missed, esp if you throw in the contribution of Ben Holland who was an even worse kick for goal when he played full-forward early in his career. It wasn't all the fault of players up the field. That is my point.

Richo is one of my all-time favourite players, always has been. He has been misused by coaches, had team-mates with ordinary skills but also let himself down with his own poor skills. He has had an exemplary attitude to training in recent times, but he wasn't exactly Nathan Buckley on the training track early in his career.

He is not responsible for the mediocre performance of this club but he has contributed to it. I still love it when he takes a towering mark on the forward line though. In full flight, he is exhilarating.

For Richo, it is about running, jumping, taking the big mark, wheeling around, leaping everywhere and having the endurance to keep going. A lesser player like Matthew Lloyd has outperformed him, and his club has benefitted, because for Lloyd it is only about kicking the goal. That's the difference.

This has absoloutely zero to do with Richmond mis-managing the big fella and stopping him from being a greater player than he has been.

Since you only seem to want to reply to me, and not the numerous other posters who are saying the same things I am (aren't they "negative" enough for you?), are you agreeing with the proposition of "Richmond mis-managing the big fella and stopping him from being a greater player than he has been" or not?
