Only downside to him is he works too hard at times and cant get back to where he's needed. I wish the other 40 players on the list had similar problems.

We could keep him on the list and let him rest while we rebuild then bring him out on grand final day if we wanted to. He certainly deserves it.
maybe in some sort of marketing role. Not sure about skills or coachingJ_Rod said:just a quick question... when richo does hang up the boots, do you think richmond will keep him on in some way shape or form.... if it be in the footy department or something like that?? im just curious because i would love this bloke to stay at the club forever.

Richo could of gotten better money years ago...especially when Collingwood were sniffing around in the 90's.
Richo has definitely not stayed at Richmond for money reasons....and thats why we all love him so. 8)

He's played in a hugely unsuccessful era and has had to cope with continuous on and off field blunders that has left this club marooned in the bottom reaches of the ladder for all but two seasons of his 15 year career.
He's a very talented player (albeit with kicking for goal yips) that would have prospered within a better playing group. Yet he's stuck with Richmond probably because he loves the club as much as much as we do. Imagine what it would be like playing in the forward line of a team that has had the dismal skill level that Richmond has had over this time - horrendous. I absolutley believe he would have kicked 1000+ goals had he played with Essendon or any other successful side during this time.
It will be a sad day for this supporter when he retires, hence my belief that he should be made captain for his final couple of years as leader of what will be a very young and inexperienced side. He won't leave the game with a tiger flag which is a great shame. However hopefully he can be part of stimulating a new group of players to achive what he couldn't manage on his own.
We could keep him similar to the way Geelong kept Riccardi on their list, maybe play him off the bench as an impact playerLiverpool said:6 years?
So are you going to push the wheelchair through/under the banner for him? :hihi
