I have always been a fun of the 'bull" but he sure knows how to frustrate you and will never leave you wondering what if.
Ever since i first saw him play i couldnt believe my eyes. His athletism, speed, stamina, just like a ragging bull. But one thing has never changed through the years has been , yes , his KICKING for goal.
I read an article in the sun today which had some interesting facts.
700 goals , 19th player in history of the game to do so.
1. Second tallest player to do so.
2. At 104kg is the second heaviest player in the 700 club
3. Nothing to surprise here. He has played along with St kildas Bill Mohr , the least finals.
4. Along with two other players of the 700 club not to win a b & f
5. This fact which led me to conduct this poll is this.
Richo has kicked 700 goals and here is the fact that is Richo 477 behinds
Lloyd on the other hand has kicked 781 /354
Richo has had an amazing 43 scoring shots more than Lloyd.
Shows me if he was in a successful, finals type side how many more goals Richo could have kicked and another stat that wasnt mentioned was that correct me if i am wrong, Richo would have missed close to 2 seasons due to injury.
What i would also like to mention is in Robert Walls year at punt road after Richo's knee injury , he kicked i think 95 goals and something like 50+ behinds , easliy could have kicked the ton. He was in such form.
I would like to know if someone like Phantom or whoever can access this info for me.
How many goals/behinds ratio has Richo kicked within the 50 metre arc + compared to close to the goals say from 25 metres and less.
The reason is this, Terry feels that Richo in his later years could play a Lynch type role and just position himself at ff for the next say three years. Can the side rely on his kicking. ? Is Richo capable of this role considering he is a ragging bull? Or is Richo's best floating half forward, around the 50 arc and not be the clubs main focus and build a side around the Reiwolts, Shultz and Cleve?
Considering how much football he has missed i think he has at least 2-3 years left.
Can he get close to say 800 goals+?
