Leave Richo out of this list at least he can win a contested ball and is still value to the side.
The rest are gone unless Browny's got a 5yr contract with his mate TW

Richo is a champion.

He is the soul of this club.

Why get rid of your best player - get rid of the rubbish players.

In the 50s we had a player that was one of our best G.R Wright, two brownlow medals, represented Vic many times, a true bright shining champion that was there during some very dark times. Richo will be remembered for ever for he courage and love of the club.

While he is still our best player he will stay at the club.

We will get rid of Brown, Bowden, Johnson, Pettifer for sure. and possibly Hughes King JON

Richo and Cousins will have one more year.

Richo is a champion and should be in the side. i love the big fella. he is passionate, plays his heart out, and is our only go to bloke (tall kp) up forward. this is a problem for us.

however, i felt today he let himself down kicking for goal. with the game up for grabs in the 2nd half & definitely last qtr he missed some easy shots. you can see everyone in our team ride the emotion of those shots. momentum is a big thing. while i feel it shouldn't be left to Richo (please stand up somebody) his confidence at kicking for goal seems shot this year. i mean he was looking to handball it off from 15m out. he should be putting his hand up for these shots, going back and drilling them. thats what senior players do. take control & lead by example Richo.

I find it absolutely amazing, that Richo has been the best player in both of our last two losses, was the only one playing his heart out from beggining to end, was the most gutted of any of the players, and people still stick the knife in.

claw, if you are worried about the development of the KPP you shouldn't look at richo, you should look at the coaching. When richo was asked to move from FF and play ruck, back, wing he didn't sook, whinge or anything. He accepted the decision and continued to try his heart out. In the process we discovered probably the best wingman in the game at present. If Richo is up on the wing how does that hamper the KPP. If the coach was serious about giving the younger forwards a run, then he could easily refrain from throwing richo forward.

As many on this thread have said, Richo is the heart and soul of this club, sure he is flawed, (probably a victim of our clubs lack of player development), but nonetheless he is a true champion of our club, and i am convinced that if it wasn't for him, our membership would be nowhere near were it is. People are so quick to crucify a player that leaves for another club, but are so quick to turf out a player when it doesn't suit them. Where is the loyalty in that claw?

It absolutely repulses me to hear people on talkback radio, and posting on forums bagging him. Richo 99% of richmond supporters love you mate, you should play on for as long as you enjoy it, and can.

if i was the coach i would force him to retire. if was the coach back in 04 i would have traded him.

regardless of how you look at richo hes 34. this club must go into a proper youth policy we have to priortise the kids. sheesh even his supporters have agreed other kpps have struggled to develop with him around. in fact i ask what other kpf have we developed with him at the club. 92 he was drafted sheesh what other kpf other than richo has there been. the other thing is how many kpfs have we even drafted while richos been there they havent seen the need.if i had my way i would be resting richo altogether play hughes riewoldt post they are hopefully the future good or bad.

im not a sentimental type all i want is the best interests of the team and future be met. to me the long term best interests of this team is richo retires.

a lot of it is not about what richos done but the fact hes 34 and has been an integral part of the most insipid unsuccsesful times this club has ever endured. we talk about culture well to me richo is a key component of a very unsuccesful culture. like i said its time for a totally fresh start.

You are an absolute FOOL with a capital F. What you are saying is we get rid of our best player. The heart and soul of the club, and the only guy who plays with passion week in week out. Without Richo there is NO RICHMOND. We are a ONE man team at the moment.

Your point of lack of KPP developing around him is completely flawed. If you haven't realised Richo played the majority of last year and most of this year in the MIDFIELD, with our forward line pretty settled with Morton and Jack. How exactly is he hindering their development if he isn't even playing CHF or FF the majority of the time?? The only reason he is moved there is because our forwards are crap and haven't and developed (even though they have been given plenty of time to do so). This is nothing to do with RIcho being in the side. We simply have no targets to kick too most of the time. Without Richo in the forward line we are a frightening mess.
