Other clubs have fought for their players and the majority have had their sentences reduced or had the charge quashed.

The issue has nothing to do with whether Richo missed or not. Richo's response should have been.

"Geez I miss a few, but I can still kick straighter than you can bounce"

As ToO said it is totally unprofessional. The AFL bans players from giving advice to umpires so why is this any different.

Have no problems with umpires engaging in Banter with players ala Peter Carey, but this is not banter, it is just plain stupid. Geez wouldn't this bloke be the life of the party.

Now I know why he hates us, obviously has the mentality of a Collingwood supporter with comments like that. :rofl :rotfl

i was just reviewing the stKilda game and I noticed (thanks to the commentators) richo receive a message from Wayne Johnstone the runner.

Richo's face registerd complete and utter dumbfounddness (is that a word?). It's a classic.
It was like he'd just been told his wife was pregnant; he's being traded to Port Adelaide ; the CIA want to speak to him ...something like that.

Anyone know what Johnstone said to him?

Geez MB, it doesn't take much for you to write off a player's ability. Simmo has been great this year, goal kicking much improved so your opinion is a little harsh me thinks.
