Interesting as I thought he was more a supporter for the RFC.

Well TE he was a supporter and member of richmond and attended many games and functions and yes more than likely he would've been a future president.
He sponsored the pies through his business along with basketball and rugby clubs. Great mates with Eddie but as much as he sponsored the pies thats a business decesion but his true love was for the tiges, i have heard him say how much he loves the tiges and he wanted them to be a force again.

Thanks AS for clearing that up for me.

No worries TE, just a real tragedy as much as he had a very successful business he was a devout family man who lived for his family and children.

:o my condolences go to the family and to the Tigers footy club (among others) - he was a loyal Tiger supporter, and you just cant replace them. RIP Crazy! :'(

condolences as well, loyal Tiger supporters die every day though, most without 310 Million in the bank

Im gutted, I ripped into him a weeks ago, to put his money were his mouth is and build our club......still shaking my head.

A natural reaction from a human being daoula, I wouldn't worry about it, it wasn't your fault.

RIP John, a mate of mine had a lot to do with him & was very complimentary about him, said he was the sort of bloke you enjoy spending time with & was very family orientated & that was well before his untimely passing.

just got back from his funeral

the service was good but the reception was terrible

sorry couldn't help myself

RIP

Herald Sun today has condolence messages from Collingwood, Storm, Bullants, Crazy Johns, other businesses, other individuals, but none from RFC. Bit strange.

Azza Richmond had a message in yesterday's H/S.

R.I.P John. Goodbye Tiger. :(

Interesting that 9 would get this wrong, but there is a photo saying it is Crazy John, but it is of Shane Warne and his wife.

They probably meant that the Warnes went to the funeral?

Anyway, sad news, if a bit late from the doctors.
