So what are his skills like?

I've heard he's a good mark and can run all day but that's it.

Let me put it this way, the same honest "motor" as Knobel but wouldn't be half as effective as Knobel is in the ruck.

A good VFL level player, but hard to see getting much better.

Have seen Rix play quite a few times - takes a good grab and competes well but his kicking skills are well below par. While he has improved in this area, I would have been disappointed if we'd taken a player with such obvious deficiencies

he did not make it to you senior list did he ? oh well lets see if he does any better at st kilda if he doesn't i reckon that will be the end of a AFL carreer no offense to him

I say good luck to him a feel good story for persistance and I really hope he makes his AFL debut for the saints
