This is what peeves me about Miller. People say TW gets an easy ride in the media, but Miller is the absolute golden child. Apart from Caro, he is always being referred to as "Recruiting Guru" , and when we sacked him, they carried on like we shot bambi. Even today I heard him on SEN being asked about the upcoming draft and trade period for his "expert" opinion.Redford said:
Yet when he comes up with statements such as Terry needing another 5 years to get the job done at Richmond, no one has ever picked him up on his chasing these three, in particular Solomon, who was virtually a done deal. How many early draft picks would we have given up for 3 players that would certainly not have be there during Terry's so-called window of opporunity around 2011, let alone at the end of Terry's second 5 year tenure that Miller was pushing for.
It would be an interesting exercise to try to estimate which draft picks we would have sacrificed esp for Solomon and Copeland, to see which young players we would have missed out on, had these deals gone through
