all i can say is thank god his 350th wasnt against us. !!!!
Agree entirely, he is a champion and glad it was this week. Next week will be a big game though, all the saint fans will be out in force to cheer him on further. Something I hope the coaches are already working on - who will get him?

A shame it couldn't have been in Melbourne in front of the St. Kilda fans - however a bigger effort there could not have been in winning over in the West (even without Judd - West Coast steaming home like that is something most steals collapse in front on).

The 1200 or so people who turned up as it testimonial is, quite literally, a testament to how respected he is at the St. Kilda Football Club, and the football world in general. Unbelievable to see him running the game out this evening so hard, when so many younger players were ready to fall to their knees.

Remember going to Afl park with my brother in law who is a mad Sainter in the early 1990s and we had front row seats on the wing. He kept talking up this Harvey bloke and whilst I knew of him at that stage I didn't rate him.----Until --------right in front of us literally 10 metres away a ball was kicked to open space. The ball was in dispute-two Richmond players (I think one was son of Francis) v Harvey --my brother in law said "watch this". It was two on one and a young Harvey took them on(and he was second to the contest) won the ball, dodged, weaved and then ran away with a bounce-pumping the ball into the forward zone. It was one of those moments you just dont forget. I turned to my brother in law and said "yep OK"
350 games, Brownlows, modesty, work ethic, injury plagued------what a great player he is!!!!!!!!!

A couple of years ago Harvey suffered from plantar fasciitis (strained band of tissue on the soles of the feet). Rather than take a break to recuperate, it was reported that Harvey jumped off a chair and tore the plantar fascia so he'd be able to play. Having had this condition at one time and being unable to walk without severe pain, I'm in awe of his determination just to get on the park.

Harv's is universally respected both on an off the ground. A rare feat indeed. Congratulations on the 350th game and the ongoing good form.

I remember that story, the guy is an absolute freak
Wish he played for us and hope he goes on to play 400, there wouldn't be many others on the StKilda list who qualify as veterans
