Rodan and Brad Ottens - much improved

Hey Mikee - a bit of selective memory there! Rodan was as much of a culprit as some others you mentioned in the clangers department....

On Rodan. Has played well in a good side but the real test will be next year and beyond. Many a player has gone to a new club and started in a blaze of glory only to fade just as quickly.

On Ottens. How many goals did he kick in the 01' final series? 2 and both were in the win over Carlton. I have my doubts about him when it comes to the pressure of finals footy.

If my memory serves me right Ottens had 46 goals that year and Richo had 54........ i think.

Otto - no heart with us

Rodan - needed the boot in the bum, wrapped to see him kick on

Fiora - gets frequent fliers every game he plays because he is the ultimate passenger

If Rodan was still at tigerland he'd still be the crap player he always was. Just shows what a change of scenery has done for him. Also shows how bad the RFC is in managing players.

Yeah Yeah - Simmonds and Polak are much improved at Richmond. Some players just need a change, some players fit better into other clubs.

Ottens at Richmond 2000-2002 before the back injury was better than anything Geelong have seen. Even in 2004 when he had lost interest he was probably as good as he is this year.

Rodan is better at Port but he did show a bit in his second year at Richmond. At the end of last year we had Krak, Tambling and Rodan competing for similar positions. At the end of 2006 Tambling was younger and looked better than both (IMO will still prove to be) Krak was contracted and looked the equal of Rodan who seemed to have lost leg speed after the reco and was uncontracted. It was not a major error letting him go.
