West Coast:

Cousins (179cm), Fletcher (179), Braun (175), Kerr (178), Banfield (184) and Wirrpunda (173) racked up 2500 possesions between them last year, kicked 59 goals and picked up 55 Brownlow votes - complimenting Judd (189), Embley (190), Stenglein (189) amd Cox (204) - 1600 possies, 29 votes & 70 goals.

Wow - throw in Sampi and Gardiner or Nicoski and that's a pretty handy 12 man side
throw in waters and hurn and the eagles midfield stocks look good for yrs to come,in fact one of them are bound to take fletchers spot as hes got to be one of the most overrated players in the league. talk about tivendale turning the ball over well fletcher would be worse and not much of a defensive side to his game either.

Yep their midfield is very daunting they just need one power forward and they will be set.
the thing about wce and talls is as a club they have been prepared to put heaps of talls on their list. those talls that have shown steady improvement have been retained those that havent are delisted or traded.talls who have improved a little each yr are hansen cox embly hunter glass lynch seaby and staker.players they have kept but have struggled because of injury are mcdougall gaspar gardiner and smith.they didnt make a gf just on the back of a dominant midfield it was also due to the steady improvement of their talls many of who will only get better.
the eagles are the second youngest list in the comp scary in itself, and this is true of their talls as well. with the majority yet to reach age 24 when most talls tend to click and take the next step..

In Cox Glass, Hunter and Hansen the WCE have quality taller players to build their quality midfield around, and in Staker and Spangher they have two younger types that will develop to further strengthen the WCE list.

Staker reminds me of Mitchell White who became a class player after developing over 3 years.

The key to the eagles young talls is that in Glass, Hunter and Hansen they have FB, CHB and CHF covered, they just require a FF with Staker and Spangher to also provide key defensive depth.
Hunter may well become a tall forward option at FF but is best bet at CHB for the time being. Hunters form in the finals when moved up Fwd was very promising for the WCE's, and offers future depth and versatility.
Hansen will aslo improve more on his way to becoming the key WCE forward.

They look very good to me.

the only thing holding staker back to a degree has been an inability to bulk up. with him it will be a gradual thing rather than gettting bigger over night one things for sure he has lots of talent.

craig imo their best bet at chb is lynch.

I do not know if Krakouer has got the pace and endurance to go in the middle consistenlty. He has been at the club for about five years and his best return is about 23 touches.

Nah they are duds losing that grannie hahahaha :hihi.

Good work mate, i dont mind examining and conversing bout other sides at times. ;

ah the coasters have their share of duds fletcher jones greenadkins braun wooden and a few others and you slow pokes would realise that if you just read posts correctly for once. anyway the difference between them and us is they usually manage to weed them out pretty quickly.as for taking oput wce membership dont tempt me it would be great to be part of a professional and well run club for once instead of putting up with 23yrs of the bumbling incompetent unprofessional rabble that is the rfc.let me also say the main reason i make comment on them is because they are in my face every day you victorians should go live in a non traditional state for a yr you will soon learn to hate interstate teams as much as i do. but at least i learn from clubs like the eagles and acknowledge the things they get right its about time we took a leaf out of their book and learnt from them.
craig i think lynch is underrated by many. he has his deficiencies but hes continually getting better each yr and is no plodder is only 22 23 and still has improvement in him hes played his best footy at chb.having said this hes never going to be a tredrea or carey and my well go by the way side but imo he has at least shown more than most of our younger talls in recent times.

No arguements from me Clawsy on your comments specially when it comes to sides that are in your face, am sure you have a very fine understanding of the Eagles and the Frockers. ;)
