PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Dont be surprised if Rodan has an improving second half of the year and grabs a few positive headlines before the end of the season. As Terry pointed out during the pre-season, Rodan will be given time to get himself right and there are no high expectations of him and his comeback.

Some forget that Rodan is in the same boat as Browny yet Nathan seems to get afforded the leeway while Rodan is written off. Both have had similar seasons to date but are on the brink of completing their extended sideline stints.

During the preseason Rodan won the bench press comp which is astounding considering his physical stature. His other strengths are his first five yards, excellent evasion skills and an uncanny goal sense.

He showed just before his injury that he has the goods to be a fine player when he’s on song. Just the other day at training his disposal was unhesitant and sharp, he setup many forward forays, all of his disposal options were perfect, he gathered a ton of pill and his defensive game was on song.

If he keeps this form up and at some point acquires a gig, he’ll be another valuable asset to our ever maturing midfield rotation.
