despite previously being against the afl subsidising rookies, i'm now warming to the idea. i couldn't believe the figures i read in todays hun about how much the interstate teams spend on their footy dept compared to vic clubs. that is no where near an even playing field. i believe we need to find a away to put more funds in our recruiting dept. we need a full time recruiting officer in SA and WA...

I reckon Miller and Wallet would love a full rookie list - if they could afford it. Hoping we use more rookies as our finances get better.
Unfortunately comparing the interstaters use of rookie lists to our is comparing rich apples with poor oranges at this stage - despite Claw and his mate claiming it is a big strategic failure on Miller's part.

More rookies would be great if we could have six, then we could utilise the rookie list for the development of young tall KPPs and Rucks with 3 rookies say 2 key pozzy players and one ruck the rest midfield types to go with say 6 new kids via the draft great outcome and allow for greater scope and framework to provide structure and balance to our pool of talent.
