PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

On WLF last night Terry said he'd prefer to put money into the development of the players already on our list in preference to getting another rookie.  It made me think it's a fine juggling act for club's to manage a full rookie list.

I think the AFL should subsidise rookies somehow.  They're always talking up their work developing the game and full rookie lists give 80 kids a chance to make it.

I'd love to see all rookie lists full.  I wonder how it would work if club's were required to have 2-3 rookies and the AFL subsidised them for the other 2-3.

Do others think it would be appropriate for the AFL to let a few moths out of the purse or just leave it up to clubs whether they have any rookies or not?

(Edit: I forgot to mention that there's an article on the Journo's board claiming Gary March has stated we'll have a full rookie list next year)
