What year was aaron davey made a rookie and then promoted and who did we take in that draft? when we could have had davey :(

2004 Rookie Draft we took Axe with the next pick Davey went at 3 it was believed the Roos would have taken him but they didnt have the money for a rookie anyway

Was elevated before the 2004 season started,I always thought it was the Redlegs(coterie) who came up with the money to elevate him but Intrested told me once it was a lone donation. This is where I stole the idea for the CC to pay for a rookie as well as PRE

It was 2003, and we took Gilmore (21), Roach (37), Jackson (53), Morrison (64), Hartigan (70 :)), Tuck (73 :D), Raines (76 :clap), Fletcher (78) and Archibald (81). In the rookie draft (not that it matters because Davey was already gone) we took Foley and Dragga.

With the pretty sharp drop off in talent around the 15 mark in that draft it was a pretty good result.

Just looking at it Carlton also did really well in that rookie draft getting Carrazzo, Bentick and O'Hailpin.

who did we pick in the normall draft that year when we could have got aaron?

I dont know how they work it out but he was drafted in the 2004 rookie draft but it was definatley in 2003(AFL RECORD :don't know)

I guess it's a bit confusing being around the end of the year CC. It was the year Cooney went number 1.
