Really ? So Italy & Ireland, probably two of the more extreme Catholic countries that I can think, don't have a public holiday for Good Friday yet they do for Christmas. How odd.
Yes that is odd. Good Friday is what it is all about. Christ sacrificing himself for our sins. Christmas isn't even his real birthday.
