...this was against 2 reject ruckmen.

Imagine what Cox would do to us.

Moore, McGuane and Pattison showed a bit, thankfully. This to me was an upside.
Moore?? Surely you jest GoPR. What a squib! That effort in which he could have gone up in the marking contest against Walker or at least made him earn it was pathetic. He doesn't know when he should leave his man & when he should stay with him. Still don't rate him.

Yeah I think his in real trouble now :(

I dont know how far away the boys are Simo could even shock this week but I doubt it,as for Thirsty I don't think he is real close

If your on an AFL list for 3 years & still haven't had any impact why have him on the list Moore McGuane Meyer is almost getting to this stage needs to take the bull by the horns & have a real crack.

Wow !!!!

Disappointing way to start the Day for me............A loss !

First-time Poster here Guy's and Gal's , from St Louis, Missouri.

Know most of you will be hitting the "Sack" shortly , me , had about 4 hours sleep , seeing as the Game didn't start till 2.10am here and I lasted till H/Time and Flaked, missing the 2nd Half (Maybe a Good Thing in Retrospect). Sounded sooooooo promising at the Half too.

Well , as you Guy's snooze, I'll catch up with all the post's to see what happened, glad to be aboard, sure I'll be catching up with a few of you now that I've found this Forum.

Try to get some sleep (Know that's alway's easy after a loss) but Hey, Life could be worse............................

You could be stuck in this God-Forsaken Country like me , so at least be thankful for that............... :cutelaugh :cutelaugh :cutelaugh

I feel for you Jackfrost....stuck in the land of the Redturds!

Go Cubbies

Hey "Struggle"....................A Baseball reference Huh !

Not a Fan of the Game at all Mate , if anything , I love to stir the Locals with a line you mentioned..........Goooooo , Cubbies.
Talk about a Rivalry , that's as crazy as it get's.

Opening Day just concluded about 2 hours ago and the Cards got an Arse-Kickin'...............Good Stuff.
Hey, that reminds me , Tiger Fanatics , take Heart..................You think we've suffered long and hard of late ????
Imagine if you will , being a Chicago Cub's Fan , haven't WON a World Serious since 1904...............That's 103 Years people.............could you even !!!!
So see, there's plenty of Fan's who are worse off than us.

HAHAHAHA................Hang in there Guy's and Gal's.

Like you mate I lived in the states for a while in the late 90s (as well as England and Canada) and became a baseball fan and Cubs tragic.
By the way we've only been waiting 99 years and not 103 since our last WS win....stop exaggerating ;)

Last year Dragacevic played for South Adelaide for memory to answer your question too.

Patto will have to go for 85% of the game. Lot of talk about his endurance, this is the time to show it. Maybe Polak gets a run, just to spell him a few minutes a quarter. Didn't happen in Geelong becuase we had nothing done back. McGuane changes this but we will still need another tall. Hopefully Knobel comes up. He is a good back up, when fit.

Just reading some of my old stuff before the Carlton game to see if it panned out like I thought.

Turns out I know a bit about this caper. Just a tiny bit some would argue!!!

We missed Trent Knoble more then some people acknowledge. We miss Simmo too but there is no way that Cameron Cloke gets away with that crap. Knoble would just jump into him, SImmo would have destroyed Cain and Cloke (not Able) around the ground but Knoble would have damaged them physically and not let Stevens get those easy and soft clearances. Regardless of if Wallet sends the runner out why did not one of our mids start roving to Cloke or go stand on Stevens toes. Without our 2 best ruckamn or mids should have went defensive much quicker. Shocking coaching and dumb football IQ by those in the centre square.

It seems that we lack on field leadership. Hence why our gameplan went south halfway through the game.

Maybe your wright strav I think it was suger who had the 1st kick of the game that landed almost at the top of the blues goal square!! You would think with Johnson in the middle Joel up back & Richo up forward that their would be enough leadership on the ground maybe Grant Thomas idea of rotating the captains is not that bad an idea Deledio captain next year Raines the year after followed by Foley Etc.

Just a question for PRE enders was it a good or bad game.

I was at the game and when i got home posted my thoughts here admittingly some out of frustration.....I decided at 12.30am to watch the match again, wow how different it looks when u see it again and study it a bit more.....Im not going to mention players and so forth as its been done to death, what i am going to do is just a general synopsis of each quarter.

1st...Frenetic running and linking up, always creating space and getting the ball fwd, result = 5 goals

2nd...Not as frenetic as the first quarter but the players continually running and linking up and hitting targets = 5 goals

3rd... after a promising 6 or 7 mins and 27 pts up, i felt something not right all of a sudden we started to slow the game down chipping backwards and sideways, the run had absolutely stopped its like we tried to save the game. I said to a couple of my mates “why all of a sudden are we starting to play like this” Gerald Healy did say many times in that 2nd quarter the tigers just have more leg power and both frawley and Healy said if its in tight the blues start to control if its out wide the tigers with their leg speed can open the game up and use the space to their advantage, Frawley also said “the tiges are starting to control the tempo of the game and can afford to do this but interesting continued by saying “however they weren’t playing like this in the first half”.....Why did we then slow it down...hold on to the ball which allowed the blues to man up and when we did turn it over they just took it away, when we played quick movement of the ball our players always seemed to be loose.
Result goals start to try up and the opposition start to gain the ascendancy.

4th....See 3rd comments....A carbon copy!
i also felt something wasn`t right even when we skipped away to a 27 point lead.you described it very well mate.i can only put it down to their superior fitness. mike sheahan and robert walls said the same thing on "on the couch".
that`s why i wasn`t to disappointed after the game. we were wiping the floor with them but just ran out of legs.

There is an article on rfc.com.au from Cam Howat.

What is dissapointing is that he says that the players realized after the game that they lost it because they stopped attacking and tried to go defensive in the 3 rd quarter.

Are you players for real or what? How often have you realized that you go too defensive when you have a lead in the second half of a game trying to save a lead instead of building on it?

Pathetic. :veryupset

The sad thing was Gaspar was one of there better players, but then again some of those
slobs in the cheer squad could keep up with Whitnal!
It seemed to me, everytime the dud had the ball, it looked like a drunked feral trying
to catch a tinnie thrown in his direction!!!
Book your september caravan holidays now ferals and if you mention Greg Millers name,
you might get a 5% discount!!!

:rofl :rofl :rofl

Just an observation - our score was the 6th highest for the round, so at least we scored more than 10 other teams. The margin wasn't huge, the percentage isn't bad, at least nowhere near as bad as after round 1 last year!
