leaving basically 25 players to pick a team of 22 from, i'd suggest Duncan would play and if Zantuck was anywhere near ready he too would play.

Dragicevic must also come into contention shortly if his practice match form is anything to go by. Maybe they will be caution with their approach on Dragga though given his history.

Just for interest here is an old thread I found this morning. We were picking a team at the end of 2000 for round 1 2003.
Slowly but surely I think our list is improving, and there should be a bit cleanout at the end of this season.

Obviously the dimensions of the line ups can change dramatically, esp. if Fraser and Prestigiacomo don't come up from their injuries.

One thing that worries me is Collingwood's height. (How good would it be to have Holland and Ottens in the team) . That's why I made some unconventional moves like Hall to a back pocket and Zantuck at full forward to cover height deficiencies.

However ultimately I think the game will be decided by the midfields. Richmond should at least break even with Stafford and Hall agaisnt McKee, Fraser, Rocca. Coughlan should beat O'Bree. Johnson should trounce Woewodin. And Campbell will hopefully break even with Buckley with a bit of help from Buckley's best friend D. Kellaway. The wings will be crucial. Big games are needed from Tivendale, Fiora and Rogers and Newman.

Can't wait.

I agree that the midfields will hold the key to this game. Will also be the first opportunity to see how our new look midfield gels together.

The individual match ups will be very interesting indeed. Dare say there will be a lot of rotations going on early in attempts to shake the tags.

Hope the coaches box are upto it.
