Did you get the final stats spook? Plenty of the Cubs seemed to continue to work hard, just appeared we lacked a little hieght
Massively undersized, particularly in the ruck and key forward. That Garth didn't go forward might tell you he's in line for Broad or Balta's spot.

Naish 31, 2.0
Ross 28
RCD 27, 2.0
Dow 22, 1.0, 5 tackles
Caddy 20, 1.0, 4 tackles
Egg 20
Street 19
Martyn 18
Miller 16, 5 tackles
Danny 16, 4 tackles
Stack 16
Ralph 14
McDonagh 13
Parker 13, 5 tackles
Hicks 11
Melville 9
Cumberland 7, 1.0
Nathan 7 (had to play ruck, lucky to be 6'2)
Garth 5
MoJu 5, 4 tackles
Henderson 4

RCD a cut above live, needs to be in AFL the rest of the year. Ross tried, still not sold on his athletic profile. And my boy Naish dominated, great attitude. Dow looks promising but still runs out of gas, lot to work with tho.

Daniel Rioli looked uninspired & uninterested. Disappointing, had a chance to walk back into the side. Reckon there’s a chance he’s at another club next year.
I hope you made yourself acquainted with taz and co.!

Agree, RCD clearly our best. Dow was brilliant in the first quarter, then faded with flashes of class thereafter. Ross solid behind the ball. Naish did what he does at VFL level - if he could only bring it to AFL. Stack worked into the game ok but he's not flying.

Lol, no spent time with a few local yokels there was no new acquaintances of such prestige !! It’s a wonderful suburban ground. Feel like RCD can replicate what he did today at AFL level. Stack was ok but it’s not quite clicking, it’s more grunt than silk. Doesn‘t look toned, not chubby just built like a fridge.

We're gonna need both miller and garth next week, how did they go?

Problem for rcd is that unless he can play key fwd, back or ruck there won't be a spot for him. Unless he takes georges or kmacs role

Plenty of spots for RCD - Castagna, Kmac, Houli for starters.

Dimma see's RCD as Cotch's replacement might come sooner than we think?

Watched Riley live at VFL today very good game, debunks a lot of the theory that he is incapable of gathering possessions, 20 plus 2 weeks in a row. Still a work in progress but progressing well IMO.

Caesar, how did Miller go? Know he had to play ruck, and Garth went back for only 5Ds although might have been good defensively. But Miller's game seems fairly good but only brief mentions in dispatches.

It's the 'recruit midgets at all costs' policy. It means we go into every game at both levels shorter, lighter ... and weaker. (See Higgins V Oscar Allen).
will it ever dawn on us?

VFL Report: Round 11

Richmond VFL playing coach, Steve Morris, provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in last Saturday's Round 11 match against Sandringham.

Patrick Naish (32 disposals, eight marks, two goals)
"He's in great form. Once again he was dominant with 32 disposals and two goals.
Worked hard all day and used the ball well."

Jack Ross (29 disposals, 15 marks, nine rebound-50s)
"With 29 disposals and 15 marks, it was a real step forward for Jack's development in the backline which was great to see."

Riley Collier-Dawkins (27 disposals, two goals, four clearances)
"Had a sensational day at the office. His inside work was elite."

Thomson Dow (23 disposals, eight clearances, one goal)
"'Dowy' spent a little bit around the footy on the weekend which was great and was able to get eight clearances for us."

Josh Caddy (21 disposals, five tackles, one goal)
"Started the game really well with 12 disposals in the first quarter. Faded out a little bit, but had to play the role of a tall up forward at times."

Will Martyn (21 disposals, six tackles, four clearances)
"Continued his great form in and around the footy. He continues to hunt the footy well and his six tackles was a great result for us."

Derek Eggmolesse-Smith (21 disposals, 11 marks, five rebound-50s)
"We're trialing him a little bit more up the ground on the wing.
His rotation was sensational for us and it's good to see him buying into a different role."

Lachlan Street (21 disposals, two goals, eight hit-outs, four inside-50s)
"Did an outstanding job in the ruck.
Twenty-one disposals and two goals was a great return from an undersized ruckman that didn't stop trying all day."

Daniel Rioli (18 disposals, four tackles, three inside-50s)
"Played down back and is going to learn a lot from that experience.
Found the footy and used it well when he had it. It's going to be exciting to see his run and carry across half-back in the coming weeks."

Ben Miller (18 disposals, eight rebound-50s, five tackles)
"Took a number of intercept marks and huge spoils which was good to see, as that's been a focus of his game.
He's playing some really good footy at the moment."

Sydney Stack (17 disposals, five marks, two tackles)
"Played down back on the weekend. It's going to take him some time to work out our structure down back, but his commitment to second and third efforts was a real highlight once again and he's tracking really well."

Hugo Ralphsmith (17 disposals, four marks, three inside-50s)
"Worked his backside off for us. Used his speed on a number of occasions and his ball use was pretty good, we just want to see him be a little bit more damaging."

Rhyan Mansell (14 disposals, four marks, two tackles)
"Was sensational defensively.
The challenge for Rhyan is to continue to develop the offense side of his game, but we're really happy with his attitude."

Garrett McDonagh (14 disposals, six rebound-50s, four marks)
"A little untidy by foot which is unlike him, but it was good to see him investing in the defensive side of his name, with his starting points and physicality really spiking over the last couple of weeks."

Matthew Parker (13 disposals, five marks, four inside-50s)
"Had a quieter game but he definitely hunted the footy for us and we know he's capable of greater output."

Angus Hicks (11 disposals, three marks)
"Fought hard for us all day.
Fought for the outside really well and provided outlets for us out of defense and put pressure on at ground level."

Brad Melville (nine disposals, three tackles, one goal)
"Whilst his disposal count was low, he worked extremely hard as always and a highlight was his overhead marking contest, bringing the ball to ground when he was outnumbered."

Joel Nathan (eight disposals, nine hit-outs, six tackles)
"Fought hard on the day, highlighted by his six tackles
He continues to focus on having a better understanding of our structures and systems and is developing really nicely as a key tall."

Noah Cumberland (seven disposals, two clearances, one goal)
"Incredible attack and pressure on the footy. The focus for him in the coming weeks is to be a little more composed."

Ryan Garthwaite (six disposals, four rebound-50s, two marks)
"Fought really hard for us down back and took on ruck duties at times. Very solid defensively."

Maurice Rioli Jnr (six disposals, four tackles, two marks)
"Struggled to find his way into the game, he was blanketed very heavily by the opposition and it was a good opportunity for him to learn to work through such attention."

Bailey Henderson (four disposals, two marks)
"Had a different role for us up forward and was unfortunately injured, but it does look better than first thought."
