Round 11 - Team Changes v Freo

I can't see why the recent ins and outs are controversial.

They look like best and worst performed to me.

You've lost it jd. Like the others, I was shocked that the Steamer could be left out with Schulz and only Hyde came in but on reflection why would I be surprised

jb, I know you love a flanker but seriously, Cleve Whatsisface?

I love P.Bowden. I cannot resist Pathettifer. But like most football fans I draw the line at the Steamee.

Probably a smart move to leave the Klan in. He's a hard running seasoned footballer so use him to lead and open the forward line and set the ball into the other forwards rather than trying to kick goals himself.
Young steamer is not yet fit enough to play a big ground like Subi, he would blow out by half time.
Nothing wrong with putting Monsta back in, he runs the lines and can kick goals for us.

Geez, being a selector must be an easy gig judging by the armchair experts around here. Selecting Hyde for Schulz and leaving out Hughes instead of Kingsley can hardly be considered a war crime or totally insane. Must be great to live in a world where our own insights are absolute.

I am angry. This is all about wallaces ego now, he just cares about himself. its so obvious. WALLACE ADMIT YOU MADE A BLOODY MISTAKE PICKING UP KINGSLEY!!!! leaving JON, hughes, schulz, riewoldt, mcguane, even meyer in the twos is a disgrace. These guys are the future of our club.

They need make sure that Hughes, Reivoldt, *smile* and co all qualify to play finals for Coburg. I would rotate Edwards and White out of the senior team in a few games time too, just to make sure that they are there. There are plenty of kids who could do with the encouragement of a couple fo senior games.

They should give Hughes and Reivoldt a couple of senior games again soon, but play them together so they can develop an understanding. They should make sure that McGuane qualifies to play Coburg finals as well.

On the other hand, there is no need for Kingsley to be around for Coburg's finals campaign so give him every opportunity to show his worth (or prove his uselessness) playing AFL. What will the coaches learn if he plays for Coburg and kicks a lazy 5 each week? That he is still good enough to play AFL? Later in the season, it may be handy for him to do this for Coburg to get them to the finals but for now, play him in the seniors and find out for sure.

It is not as if it is in the club's interest to win 7 of the next 12 games.

Couldnt agree more TOT.Keep the kids in a winning envoirment.Let the Kingsley,s,Hyde,s,Pettifer,s,Tuck,s etc do the hard yards in the seniors for the rest of the year.

whilst we all know these guys are the future of the club, their snr performances this year have been less than satisfactory and there's no point gifting them games, sends the wrong signal. Kingsly has put some of these younger blokes to shame with his defensive efforts. i say his selection is justified.

Personally thought Hughes has taken his opportunities well. First and foremost for a forward is the ability to kick and setup goals, second is to improve defensive play. Richo and KK should not be playing in the same team. There is no point or justification for doing so. We are not playing finals this year.

Spot on rensmen. Whilst I am not a big fan of KK at all we still need some one to make the kids understand they have to earn a spot. At the moment none of the young brigade have put there hand up in recent weeks. They have to learn that they need to earn their spot.

Bit over emotive their H. No one said it was a war crime or totally insane. Just puzzling and/or confusing.

And "yes it is" to your final sentence.

Spida & Aka played against their old clubs for the first time yesterday and won.

The ol' saying it comes in threes, well Polak plays against his old club Freo today.
A prediction; Tiges to win by 20pts ;D
