Round 12 - Other Games

saints home

i guess that means all of frankston will descend on telstra next week :-[

eagles kicked the first goal of that last Q and were 6 points down but for about 10 mins they just kept bombing away and saints just rebounded time after time...then the saints kicked 3 goals in the last 5 mins of the match to win by 23 points.

I groan when I see Shannon Hurn in the midfield.

Had a good last Q, had 5 possies in that last term...Wasn't a game breaker but has the tools to be one.

17 disposals and 4 marks, 1 goal.

Anyone know what the final free count was. It seemed to me the Saints got everything going, but the Eagles were somewhat hard done by. Maybe just my perception.

Astute, you think the Eagles would buy a straight Hurn for JON swap?

No they wouldn't at there current standings, who knows in 2 years time....Hurn is in front no doubt about that ATM but lets give JON another 2 years then and only then can we make a more accurate assessment, hurn has a mature body and JON still developing hence the reason to give him 2 more years, i personally think he will be good but time will tell.

You should change your name to Patient Tiger, yeah your right about JON, he needs time to physically mature.

Don't know whether our recruiters rated Hurn. ::), but if they did I fail to understand why they never elected to select a much more mature body & mind!

Oh well, that's another one that got away. :P

Yes and no on patience but i do seem to give the skinnier ones more time to get there body right.

That’s the question id like to ask we do seem to draft skinnier kids more so than not that’s not necessarily a bad thing if they can actually play...IE Edwards, but i do think we need to recruit a few like cogs frame who can make an impact sooner than waiting 3 to 4 years.

Hopefully, the Saints gave all they had this weekend for Harvey and are stuffed for next week, either that or it will be a catalyst for their season revival.

I wonder if Lyon will cop heaps if they lose to Richmond next weekend, did they only get up for Harvey? These questions might be answered next week.
