Obviously 1 & 4 should be better than 2 & 5 but picking up pick 7 (or 8?) which landed them Jordy Lewis was a masterstroke on their behalf. I'd argue that extra top 10 pick helped them out alot more than our 12 + 16 for Otto.


If we had even 7 + 16 I'd guess we'd have done a shitload better in that draft.

Mel, I rekon that is a cop out. At 12 you should be getting a good AFL footballer. Take Matthew Bate and Cameron Wood and things are vastly different.

Take Shaun Higgins instead of JON and all of a sudden your best 22 is better.

Our poor picking and talent identifaction process was poor.

I was made aware that Clayton would have taken JON ahead of Higgins :o
