Watched some of the Bloosers v Sydaknee game yesterday. Just wondering when handing the ball over to a team mate became part of the rules?

In the scabbies game vs west coke one of the wingers for the scabbies were lining up right on the defensive corner of the square. That is fine and abides by the stupid Bob the Builder Malcolm Blight rule set. But... The scabbies winger immediately charges to the defensive back part of the square *before* the ball is actually bounced.

This means he is 5 meters into the square before the ball is actually in play.

What is the rule?

When can you enter the square?

Is it after the ball is bounced/thrown up OR when the umpire begins the bounce/throw up motion?

Also to note, the scabbies player was doing this right in front of the umpire on the corner of the square.

???

I remember hearing the stupidity of the rule is that you have to hold the 666 until the umpire WALKS in to bounce the ball.

It's a travesty of AFL socialism that we have a side above us given a favourable draw by virtue of being sh!t last year. Sure, it worked for us in 2017, but that doesn't make it right.

The Lions have trade really well for this season Neale, Lyons, and surprise packet McCarthy.
Then there's Hodge and Charlie Cameron in their second season, and Robinson:mad: who's been there a few years now.
They're going to be a danger in the finals.

Couldn't agree more. Love to see us lead the way.

The Jeep race is tolerable but what the hell is with that 'Are you paying attention?' dribble we run every week.

It's a break in the game, exactly what are people supposed to be paying attention to? The inane rubbish on the scoreboard?

And don't get me started on the attempts to pump the crowd up at three quarter time. It's about as lame as the cheer squad.
Clearly most of the crowd see the ‘are you paying attention’ as a bit of light hearted fun given the massive cheer that went up when one guy finally realised he was on after a few minutes. I do agree with the attempt to get the crowd going just before the start of the last quarter. Doesn’t work at all

Really? OK for us in 2017 but not for others? Some would say playing the G in the last 7 rounds is favouring us.The question I would like answered is if Brisbane finish 2nd and Geelong first are they both entitled to a home final?

Are the Lions this good or are Port just *smile*?

2 weeks in a row, against good opposition, away from home, Brisbane have piled on the goals early, then ground out the rest of the game to win big. They can't do much more. The target Lachie Neale strategy was overblown and dumb, looked a bit embarrassing really.

Just a thought ......

I know what will get the crowd engaged for the start of the last quarter.

The same thing that always has ................................... the siren and the bounce !!!
