2 things by way of cutting some slack to WC, 1. it normal for a contending side to get a kick up the arse at some point in the second half of the season. 2. McGovern looked to have fractured his ribs from some nicnat friendly fire in the opening 2 minutes of the game.

but they were poor.

No excuses for West Coast tonight, bar Hutchings and possibly Vardy (instead of Hickey) and Schofield (who wouldve helped with Cox and Mohocek) they had their best line up on the park.

They thought theyd just turn up and would win then they played soft footy and didn't work hard enough.

That was an ordinary side the CFC put on the park they had NO defence especially after Moore got injured.

Tend to agree easy but Aish was in the side on that fateful night in September 2018 and Cox loves playing us; can’t get a kick against anyone else. The other 3 are only injury cover and if they’re playing our chances are undoubtedly much higher.

An MCG final against the Cats would be sweeeeeeeettt!!

Aish was in the side in round 2 this year also.

He's also played in the majority of their games this year

Well that was weird.

WC skipped away in the third Q and then just started flicking the ball around the half back line.

It was bizarre.

Didn’t look close to landing a goal in the last.

Drat picked Maggots to win by 10 & 11 in two tipping contests. WC soft under belly now starting to be exposed & it is Nic. Grundy slaughter him.

Nic Nat monstered Grundy when he was on. As EzT pointed o9ut it was when Nic Nat was off that Grundy did better. If Nic Nat was fitter no way they lose. Watch the furst half, Grundy looked nervous, almost scared against NN.

I picked the Budgies, but backed the Scum at $10 just before 3/4 time.

Especially if they are allowed to block incoming defenders to contests like they did all night tonight.

There was a high ball in Collingwood's forward line, 25m from goal, late in the game. Two players under it. Instead of being the third player up for the mark, Mayne did a 360 looking for McGovern and tried to block him.

When people ask what's wrong with the game, there it is in a nutshell.

If Nic Nac was fit enough to play the the 91% game time that Grundy played instead of the 57% that he played, the Eagles win by 2 or 3 goals.

Pies talking one of the best wins ever, GF revenge! I’m sure that win makes up for the lost Premiership cup. Pies fans will be celebrating for weeks! :p

1) Nic nat is over rated, good ruckman not only win hit outs, BUT take marks at crucial times

2) watch a lot of footy ( too much)..... after watching so many teams get reemed by the umps, last nights umpiring was very good, i strruggled to see any genuine howlers last night, or momentum shifting decisions, amazing seeing margetts was involved

yes. All Mayne did all night was block McGovern and it looked effective because McGoverns ribs were like a twice-chewed rack of lamb in a dogs bowl.

and Treloar throws it constantly.

But how good is Degoey? him willing clearances and difficult goals late in close games is almost the most predictable thing in footy I reckon.

Only watched the first half n surprised that scoring was almost non existent after the first half shoot out. Wet Coke seem to have completely died in the arse by the last qtr, strange effort at home. Might have simply run out of legs late in the game. Liam Ryan mangled an ankle in the first few minutes n was hobbling a fair bit. NicNat seriously sqooshed McGovern mid first qtr, thought he might have popped a rib with NicNat's big arse going through him. Then that other bloke Cripps? gave his groins a serious tweak n gimped off the ground early as well.

Just a constant reminder of how close the teams are this year ( apart from a couple of nuffer sides ) just about any team can toast the opposition if they're not 100% on their game.
