AFL clearly gave the word to 7 - "Umps are copping it so get BT in their rooms this week for a puff piece"

Is it just me or is there something just..... wrong... with AFL atm. Ugly. Haphazard. Sloppy. Purposeless. First 10 mins here awful.
You may well be right. Is it complacency?
Too many people making too much easy $$$; so there's little passion, drive or ferocity (remember that?) left in the game any more?

The Scott Bros are peas in a pod after a loss.

'We don't want to make excuses but..' (proceed to make excuses for 10 minutes.)
10 mediocre years at North, a couple of years running the umps, enough said, now mediocre at best at Essendon. Gets a dream run off the media. No charm or charisma. He's either a hypnotist or he has compromising information on AFL executives.

(The reality is that for whatever reason he's ensconced in the boys club and will write his own ticket on a plum job in footy for rest of his days)

The Chrysler centura wasn't pretty, but it went like the clappers. The 4 was average to poor, but the hemi 6 was an absolute beast for a meat and potatoes production car. Overpowered as buggery
My first car was a Centura with the 3.5l 6 cylinder engine.

Beast. I knew a guy who had a tweaked 4L hemi, jesus, it was white knuckle. Fast, but as you'd expect, not too refined. In hindsight, a deathtrap. The 4 cylinders were a bit underpowered, but the sixes were pretty overpowered.

I am getting a bit tired of the constant whining about injuries at Essendon, last night they were going on and on about it and mentioned they had 4 listed players available in the VFL.

Last year we had the same, we also got down to 4. We also had multiple weeks where we had 5-7 AFL players in our VFL team. Last night Essendon had 17 players unavailable, last week against them we had 15 unavailable.

Sure Essendon has injuries and it will be hurting them but this constant whining and making excuses seems to be turbocharged for them.

Even the umpires were unable to help. That's how bad the druggies are.
It’s funny, one of the many excuses we (Richmond) get is that when you’re crap you’re going to give away more free kicks.

Then there’s Essendon….
