Thanks TigerTrue, logged on this morning and got my tickets.

Couldn't read the seating chart though, does anyone know roughly where Aisle 37 would be ?

Agree with Ian 4 on both counts

Give the socceroos a solid performance in SA (they will now qualify as their last 4 matches are easier than the first 4) and FFA put in a decent run at Aust hosting either 2018 or 2022 (note Aust is second favorate behind London to win), plus the A league will only get stronger (they have a very diverse market to attract the money and players), then I think medium term, soccer is a threat. The AFL have had the southern states as a captured market for a long time now but they are struggling to support all 16 clubs financially, and the AFL response is to target west Sydney ????.

AFL could not have won the PR war if they had let their practice match effect a grand final - it was a no win situation fopr them.

Who cares where and when the practice matches are held as long as the surface is safe - the important thing is that clubs can trial new players, old players in new roles and tatics.

I think the AFL are ripping us off by charging so much to attend, members of the clubs playing should get in for free (or very heavily discounted price).

I love my footy (especially when the tigers are playing) but also like the soccer.

$23.50 for a level 1 reserved seat? Not that much more than GA for the real stuff

Hi Meltiger

Aisle 37 is a beauty of a spot just off the wing. If you are on level 1 or 2 in 37 ull have a great view of the game.

agree. we used to get free entry into at least 1 pre-season game. why did that stop? the AFL will probably break even on drink and food alone coz it' so bloody expensive.

i will add that north melbourne members got in for free at tonite's NAB cup game... it is being partly subsidised by the NMFC itself. the incentive is for people who havent signed up asa member yet to sign up on the night and gain free entry. very good initiative i think...

Does anyone know if and where the game will be telecast? I couldn't find the details in the telly guides or on the AFL site.
