PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

30th August 1998, 76,387 supporters crammed in the MCG to see the Tigers hopefully win and have a piece of September action.

Unfortunately, our pants were pulled down and we were crushed by 76 points, ending our season and putting us out of the 8 on percentage behind the bummers.

Since then in regular home and away season matches, Tigers and Demons have played 13 times, with us holding a very slender 7 wins and 6 losses.

The damning statistic is that we have lost the last three, all by 50 points or more.

If last week was a 8 point game, then this week is most definately a 12 point game.

We win, we go to 36 points. On the basis Collingwood beat Fremantle, they remain on 28 (a two game buffer)

Port and Geelong play each other, with the winner going to 28 points aswell.

With a poor percentage, we need to keep winning. With 3rd - 8th being separated by 2 games if we win this weekend and for example one of or both of St Kilda and Sydney lose we can go to as high as 6th.

I think this is our most crucial game in some time. With a tough next few against Sydney, St Kilda and Bulldogs, it really is crunch time. hopefully we would then beat Brisbane, Carlton and Essendon (but as we saw last year against the blues and this year against the hawks, we break hearts)

I would hate the last game against the eagles to determine if we will play Finals Football.

WE NEED TO WIN PERIOD........

On another note, I detest Melbourne supporters after the 'Sledging of Nathan Brown Incident' after he was injured.

COME ON TIGERS..................................ALL OR NOTHING
