Listening to the commentators, no morale victory for the Lions. Should be thrilled they got that close to one of the form teams in the comp.

According to David King that was a massive win for the brave Pies against the winless Lions. Massive ::)

What the hell is going on with these peanuts?

Christensen has now cost brisbane 2 games.
Against port he went for goals only not to make the distance when he had options,
And tonight be went for goal and kicked the ball out on the full giving the ball back to Collingwood and they went on to score....
Gabage of a footballer

It bounced around and then ended up in this duds hands.
Noway should he gone for goals in the postion he was in.
Taking the ball out of bounds or even hand balling in front of himself wouldve been team orientated.
2.times in one month..selfish

37 goals 13 points just what all the hand wringers want to see each week. An open, uncontested bloody shoot out, funny thing is someone still lost but gee it was fun.

Says it all !

" Pies edge plucky Lions in thriller..............."

The lions have about 8 players that wouldn't get a game in our reserves side.
They're centuries away from finals.

Couldn't believe it.

Was saying to my son...Does David King realise the Lions are winless this season?

He tipped the Tullamarine Globetrotters for the flag :rofl

Gee Sydney are slow. North, who are not quick themselves, made the Swans look one paced once they got on the outside.

Im almost feeling that the media are just trying to hype up the game and other sides as apart from the RFC this season, it hasnt really hit any great heights.

Collingwood being overhyped to re engage the masses of Collingwood fans who are disenfranchised.

GWS - AFL Love child and darling of the media crippled and ruined by injury. No real public interest.

Essendon - Garbage

Doggies - Feel Good Story but struggling to bounce back.

Geelong - No Ablett Taylor or Henderson and not performing as wanted or expected.

GCS - AFLs other Love Child they dont talk about - Major dissapointment for the AFL. Will be giving free entry to their games soon if not already. No Public Interest no crowds.

Carlton - Still garbage and Irelevant a former power club and cash cow for the competition.

Swans - AFL favourite child on the wane, and no extra $$$ to prop up the list - crowds will drop very quickly once they struggle.

Brisbane - Going nowhere for a few years yet, crowds and interest down.

St Kilda expected to bust out but have instead just busted.

North Melb - Still Irrelevant.

The health of the AFL competiton i dont reckon is as good as what many would have you believe.

Take away the mass numbers of crowds pulled by the RFC in the past few years along with the improving Collingwood and constant sell outs in the Crows and Eagles the AFL is not going as well as theyd like.

Theres a lot of fakeness about the coverage its very contrived with commentators at times openly barracking for certain sides (not RFC) to try and inflate interest.

Tigers are the only thing the AFL: has got going for them right now, yet they are doing everything to deflect from the RFC success, as it has come at the expense of their love children in the Giants, Swans and to a lesser extent the Crows who the AFL would have preferred to win the 2017 flag, as a Grand Final appearance would've had the Tiger Army marching regardless bringing in the $$$ for the comp whilst their Interstate preferreds get the cup.

Good post Craig. So correct qld clubs and sydney clubs draining millions from the afl purse, and i doubt if afl will really take off in those states. Meantime the standard of afl, with the expansion teams is terrible. And yes the increased cacpacity in adeliade and perth, has inflated the figures, though these are afl states anyway. The commentators are as bad as the expansion teams. BT is a disgrace ( though he is not alone) Zero research, and stupid comments that appeal probably to a 4 year old.

The fact that geelong, swans and to some extent hawks tie up half the finals every year is not good for clubs trying to rebuild

Slobbo and Wankley having another circle jerk over Scumwood on AFL360 ::) I wonder if they realise Brisbane is 0-7?

Don’t worry about the state of the game. The quality of media and journalist reporting on the game is at an all time low. The vast majority think that they are as important as the game itself and are just embarrassing themselves.

They’ve circumvented the boom/bust cycle that saw the likes of Brisbane, Port, St.Kilda, the Dogs and Fremantle fall back to the bottom. Those three are the best-run clubs and we need to learn from their list management how not to allow things to go to *smile*.
