Round 7 - Other Games

Do ppl complain about the SCG??. Its been the same for gazillion years, time for ppl to get over it, and teams to be professional enough to adjust
Yes, would have thought one simple solution in preparation for playing on smaller grounds - simply paint those field dimensions in a different colour onto our training ground and use it for training purposes when required.

be interesting to play GWS at the moment without Rioli, Reiwoldt, Nankers, Dusty, and Dion.

Thats about what GWS are doing at the moment.

I like to think we'd perform much better than they are.

Like Capt.D said, they are playing some sub, sub standard players

put another way, they have no depth. Or desire. or ticker.

I'm tearing up my GF quinella golden ticket.

Hawkins under scrutiny for a couple of other incident in the game also.
On Fox they were talking about the knees to the back and a rabbit punch (whatever that is?).

I won't forget how he cleaned up Vlossy with his knee 3 of 4 times in the final last year.

Hawkins seems to have moved on from the jumper punch to the "p!ss weak knee in the back pretending it's in the marking contest" style actions.

Hope he gets a few weeks on the sidelines and fines.
Only watched bits n pieces of the game so missed Tomahawks attempts at crippling another player. Big bastard is a master at arriving a split second late at the marking contest airborne n driving with the knees. Still a legal principle to " raise " the knee to protect yourself from the incoming pack in the marking contest, but geez it's ugly the way Hawkins is using it.

The worst news for Leon Cameron fans is that he's doing his best.

The good thing for Leon Cameron is they have NO FANS to rally and call for his sacking ;)

GWS were absolutely woeful. A staggering 14 players had disposal efficiencies under 70%. And they're supposed to be, on average, highly talented disposers. Coniglio worst of all, 32% disposal efficiency from 28 disposals (including 13 handballs).

heh, I was wondering why there was no outrage and calls for sacking leon. Or the GWS version of the FOF bunch. Now it makes sense.

How low has some of the scoring been this year? To give an idea last year to the end of round 6 there were 8 games where teams scored less than 60 points. This year there has been 19. At the other end of the scale last year to round 6 there were 30 games where teams scored more than 110 points. This year there has been 15.

One of the worst games of the year. This is all our fault.

Exactly! If Whately, Blight and Blobbo (the three stooges) wish to lament the current state of the game, all they need to do is watch this garbage being dished up today! It’s an appalling game.

Go Horks! Bummers should be kicked into oblivion. I wanna see our 1990 type days at the Bummers. Save our Wings donations.

Mitchell kicked goal after the siren and no Bummer questions it. Duds. Even the dumpires walk off without a care in the world.

Bummers seem to be in a trance this year. Something not right with the playing group. Will be a long year for them

Yup but in the mickey mouse comp that is AFL, rather than use commonsense and review it. They let it go. The game the rules and the standard is becoming a farce

Dunno about that. I hear they are the most popular team at one particular workplace that has the address, 140 Harbour Esplanade, Melbourne. Those guys would do practically anything to ensure the success of their team.

Essendon are so *smile* , they look like us in our dark years
