Round 8. other games

So far so good for Hopper living up to the hype, 30+ on debut, including about half contested.. scary

This Jacob Hopper looks pretty good. The guy we tried to draft over Corey Ellis (oh wait that was Kennedy? I'm losing track of all these GWS young guns).
Get used to hearing this kids name,he's a GUN.
As good a debut as you will ever see, would love to pinch him off them already !

Will be a star.

Geez Port have some very ordinary footballers

bloody oath, Amon? one of the most individually dumb things I've ever see. If he'd banged it on the boot, they probably win, instead he tries to stroll through 3 or 4 Carlton forwards. It was like our collingwood loss, except dumber.

Yep, only early days but 4 wins so far to the Blues who were labelled the worst list pre season.

This is why people that predict "winless seasons" for some sides each year are always talking crap.

You do. But he is going to put a lot of pressure on himself as he is playing an old team each week. When they do go backwards more the heat will be on.

Good banner from the bulldogs cheersquad today:

"At the end of the match, we'll still be cheering. You'll be worried about your negative gearing."

Watching WB v Melbourne.

Jesse Hogan has a despicable run up when shooting for goal and holds the ball like he's a left footer.

But I love the stumpy one Caleb Daniel. What a goer.

Apparently his left handed but kicks right footed and that's where the awkward action comes from

Carlton did us a favour beating Port. I played around with the ladder predictor and messed around with some results.

I'm not doing it again, it showed we'd come 9th or 10th, depending on how we go against Sydney in rd 23. It also showed our season was over in rd 21 (we were mathematically out of it by then).

Good thing is, I'm useless in tipping competitions, and I'm the finals won't be decided 2 weeks out. So there's hope yet.
