Round 8. other games

does anyone else think a better name for GWS would simply be West Sydney Giants?
Also, is anyone curious about Norfs great start to the season? Current wins are against: 5th, 8th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th and 18th on today's ladder. Have not played Hawks, Swans, Cats Eagles or Giants yet.

GWS look like serious contenders this year and will Probally start close to favourites in 2017, if they are in the GF would anyone be hoping they win

Orange n charcoal is the new yellow n black.
If the Tigers aren't in contention, then I don't mind watching an elite team performing at their best in finals or a Grannie.
Over recent years it's been one of the few pleasures in footy, watching mobs like Brisvegas run rampant or Sydaknee, Wet Coke belting into one another. Cats n Hawks have put together some pretty awesome periods of dominance as well.
Unfortunately Tiger fans can still only wish we could put together a team n period of dominance once again. I'm still enough of a footy fan to be able to enjoy the best talent perform well at the highest level.

WSG doesn't have the same ring to it, sounds like a food additive.

Greater western Sydney is weird. Its like a Aus bureau of Stats term. Would anyone ever say 'I live in Greater Western Sydney'?. Wouldn't it be enough to call them Western Sydney? Anyone within striking distance would still latch on, like a lot of people in Ballarat barrack for geelong 'cos its the closest team. (Lot of Tigers as well ;D)

Just seem over thought and sterile. But what do I know about modern marketing?

The percentage tells the story too. Dream run and the percentage is only ~125%

I'm not convinced by them.

Can only beat what's put out in front of you. They're beating the tams they should beat but yes their biggest test will be Rounds 10 to 16 where they play Hawks, Swans, Cats and Eagles. All of Hawks, Swans and Eagles have shown a bit of vulnerability this year. Reckon it's a pretty even comp bar potentially GWS and Geelong. Right now North are only 5 wins away from an almost guaranteed finals spot. Would much rather be in their position than ours.

they finished top 4 last year. Can't see why they were handed such an easy draw.

Playing twice: Adelaide, Hawthorn, Sydney (Top 6); Bulldogs (Middle 6); St Kilda (Bottom 6).

Yep they have to play Hawthorn and Sydney twice each in their last 14 rounds.

Poor Brisbane..poor Gold Coast.
What on earth will the AFL do to make sure their babies are successful?? ::)

They're gunna have to do something, you can't have a side on the bottom of the ladder. Except us, St Kilda and Footscray maybe.

Would love the cats to win. It will be tight.

This Mason Cox guy is impressive for someone so new to the game.
